Fantastic Experience on Family Trip to Florida
First, I'll say that we have only used this mini-tripod for about a week. I had it shipped to a family member's house in Florida so that we could use it to take some family photos in two different homes. I didn't want to take a huge tripod on the plane. We didn't know what to expect, and tried not to get our hopes up regarding the strength and quality of the mini-tripod. I can't speak for the weight limit that it claims. Yes it is a bit pricey, but I tend to be picky when it comes to spending our hard-earned money. They make so much crap these days, and I tend to get angry with junk that simply doesn't last. (If this tripod fails to perform, I WILL adjust my review.)We took a risk, because this only had one (1) review when I bought it, which was a 5-star review. And I almost NEVER buy anything that only has one review. Well, I can say that this little tripod has been worth every penny. And I'm happy to give this item it's 2nd 5-star review. We used this tripod for the following 3 purposes in Florida:First, we used it on a table top, easy enough.Second, we used it on 2 different hikes. It is super easy to leave attached to the camera and just fold the legs inline with the camera. I harding noticed it attached. In fact, on a hike it actually makes holding the camera easier. Our third use we super cool. We went to a location with an eagles' nest. I rested the tripod on a wooden fence post. The fence was just wide enough to fit the tripod with the legs 1 step away from being folded in completely. The eagles' nest was a little over a football field away and I was able to get some really cool shots with a basic 75-300 Canon lens. Wouldn't have been able to do it without this mini-tripod.The quality "seems" pretty good. I really like the panoramic feature. It spins very well.Again, I will post if I have any problems with this, whatsoever. Peace.

Sturdy, well made, but not flawless.
I must have bought dozen cheep table top tripods over the years, mostly junk only good enough for pocket camera.I bought this for my new Lumix DC FZ-80, it will do the job like no other tripod before it,....but, at this price I expected craftsmanship that leaves nothing to chance. Some slick design features are evident, smooth ball movement, knobs engage and hold securely, camera weight is not an issue, panning is silky smooth,..... these are all good points. On downside, I had to tighten 3 crews where top clamp mounts to legs, reason being, there was approximately .5 mm gap between the two. When camera was mounted, it was able to wobble back and forth and that was annoying and out of place. After tightening 3 screws all the way, wobble was completely gone as there was no longer any gap to allow it while head still rotates without any resistance. This has to be assembly flaw because design works very well now.Camera quick change shoe is not interchangeable with common type tripods and screw requires a coin to operate, this is not an obstacle for me because primary purpose is to have sturdy table top mount for when I need it.Quick change shoe is also blocking battery door on my camera, camera design flaw to be fair.Big knob that locks camera has kind of uniform, chewed up knurling but provides adequate grip.Small lever that locks panning has bad fitment with screw and that gives it about 1/8" wobble between tightening and releasing the lever. This is typical of cheap junk from China but its function is not critical to me.To my surprise, screw threads seem to be done right, no flaws in appearance and size.Storage bag is a bit tight but will do the job, few included straps can come handySo, all in all, it is all metal construction, very sturdy and functional, it locks some refinement in workmanship and assembly as seen from another craftsman's eye and I think it is slightly overpriced despite its good attributes.Considering all the crap out there with plastic parts, I would recommend this one to a friend.

BIT MORE MONEY FOR HIGHER QUALITY
This product would do much better at a better quality for a bit more of a selling price

Compact, sturdy, well designed with quality fit/finish
This tripod has very nice CNC machining and anodized finish, with legs that can be adjusted to different angles to suit various terrain. It is a bit overkill to have a load capacity of 55 lbs but it seems very sturdy and will likely last a lifetime.I play in an acoustic music group and needed a small tripod that could fit on a table to record video and audio. For my needs, it is perfect.

Excellent quality with ability to be short with wide support
This product is very sturdy. I put a 7 pound spotting scope on it and spread the legs wide. It has great support for the top-heavy items like my spotting scope. I may buy a second one for my camera. Good quality machining.

Impressive
Very light, very small, amazing fit and finish, easy to clamp, very strong ball clamp, and good panning after ball clamped. Just WOW.

Great little tripod
Works as expected, it is solid (After a little adjusting to take care of some wobble where the head meets the body)
