The ancient goddess Hekate offers her keys of magick and mystery in the revised second edition of the internationally bestselling introduction to Hekate’s Modern Witchcraft, Keeping Her Keys. Designed as a program of self-study for deepening knowledge, strengthening practice, and discovering your own unique power, chapters cover the fundamentals from Hekate’s history to self-initiation. Animals, green witchcraft, meditations, reflective writing and more fill the pages, empowering the reader with the skills for claiming, and keeping, these keys offered by Hekate. Written by Cyndi Brannen, PhD, this book abides at the crossroads of the deeper world of Hekate and contemporary life. Through the lessons, readers are guided through exercises, rituals, and practices merging personal development with spirituality and magick. Review: A must read, easy to read, very informative - Yes to this book. Easy to read, goes into details about Hekate and working with the goddess. I am so happy I read through the reviews because someone did recommend this book and I am now recommending it. I am onto the next book Entering Hekates Cave. The author has done a tremendous job in her writing and having the reader comprehend and stay interested in the writing. Review: This is meant to be a year-and-a-day course. - Great for what it is, well written, clear, and informative. But what I was looking for was a book about Hecate, who she is, the stories and myths, her place in the universe, and what this is is a course on how to become a devotee, a Hekatean. I wanted to see if I was drawn to her, not commit sight unseen, as it were, to her. So I am not following the course as I should; I'm just reading it, with the idea I might start over later, when I've learned more. It may not be altogether helpful that I am also reading about Mary Magdalene at the same time.

10/10 Worth Owning in Physical Form
A very good book for witches who are looking for a structured way approach Hekate, but with enough room for a chaos witch to move in. The love the author has for Her is evident in all of the historical research she has done/is still doing. For the more advanced practitioner and those seeking a guide to go deeper there are youtube videos, a blog, and even a fb study group. Dr. Brannen also has a pinterest and instagram account devoted to Hekate. She also has classes so I find her openly sharing all of these resources to be extra amazing. If you're so solitary of a witch that you don't want to ever speak to another soul this book is also perfect, as it is self contained and self initiatory. It's clear on all accounts that this isn't just a piece of fluff churned out to cash in on witchcraft being "in" again. Nor does it tear down other practices or works just to build itself up. And though it is written for witches in particular, since it stands on it's own merits and is inclusive it can be of use to anybody who wishes a relationship with Hekate. This is one of those books where I'd gift somebody their own copy as opposed to loaning them mine.

Hekate Has Your Key
This book is a self realization workbook that uses the very real magic of the Goddess Hekate. Cyndi Brannen’s insights are linked to both her degrees in psychology and her progressive approach to witchcraft. But you do real work on yourself throughout. You must account for everything within your own self observation ritual journal. The keepers of her keys make up anybody who accepts Hekate’s help and devotes the hour a day: a time she demands to get you on your path of self growth. Cyndi’s esteemed psychology fieldwork is evident in her methodical approach to this growth. You must accept the year’s commitment and follow lessons running month to month from (ideally from a New Moon). To become solid representatives of Hekate’s virtuous epithets, you have to do real work. Your spells are done in ways familiar but the power behind them is as individualized as you are. To invoke Hekate is to bring her form that makes the most sense to your life experience and your understanding of personal pain. But it truly offers a path to complete a deep transformation in your search for powerful and real magic. If you take Brannen’s guidelines and merge those to your own intentions, you have a Hekate in your corner. You will develop and posses very real and powerful magic.

Personal development- practice and empowerment
I had a dream about this, searched the store, and found it. I saw a lot of reviews that it is a modern account for Hekate and not true to her nature, but the description clearly says it's purpose is personal developement! This book is exactly that, with honoring Hekate throughout whatever practice you choose. Also, some ppl can be critical on history and meaning of things, but there is no one right way to do things, no one way to identify with a deity, or one way to honor them. The idea of personal devt is that you are ever evolving in your experiences and learnings. It is a PRACTICE. This book did a wonderful job guiding the reader to help themselves. Empowerment.

The Keys You Need
Excellent book! All you need to know to get started with a practice with Hekate. This is easy to read with clear language. The depth of devotion clearly visible by the author to Hekate is beautiful to witness.

Love it
She knows her work. I’m glad it’s a flexibel path and nothing rigid like many other over-structured paths. The only thing is: get off your arse and do the work. Day to day.

Somewhat underwhelmed
I've been following the author's blog (irregularly) for a while and had great hopes for the book. Now I'm not sure what to make of the book. It contains a lot of useful information but the execution is somewhat lacking. It feels unstructured, bits keep being repeated (same statement in two paragraphs) and in some cases I kept waiting for actual instruction and examples (promised but not delivered in the chapter on divination/tarot for example). Maybe it's just me and my scatterbrain, but the book is just not an easy smooth read. So yeah, some (more) editing would have helped.
