Great product worth the money
After reading the reviews before buying I was a little hesitant to spend the money but this was strongly recommended by our running group so I took a chance. Very glad I took a chance, it is a wonderful product. I use it mostly right now for taking the dog on her nightly run/walk, we live in a heavily wooded area so our biggest issue is wildlife. She gets very nervous when it is totally dark so I wanted this, a normal flashlight wasn't cutting it. Since it attaches to my hand I am able to reach in my pouch and give her treats & also tie her potty bags. I have never used the strobe light on it. You can tell when the battery is dying because the light gets really dim but does still provide you with acceptable light but not excellent. It charges nicely, the only problem is that the charging cable is REALLY short I'd estimate a couple inches or so. I couldn't plug it into wall so I plugged it into a power strip we have on the floor that has USB hook ups & it works great. My husband uses it too when he has to grill at night & when he takes her out in our backyard at night.

Great light; some minor design flaws; Nathan has Amazing customer support!
I have had this light for several years. After a number of months the Usb charger did break; however I contacted Nathan directly they replaced it with no questions asked and I didn't have to ship back the broken one.I use the light 4-5 days per week while running, and find that there is more than enough light to run in the dark. When I use it I typically hold the light between my ring finger and pinky.I own this and other Nathan products and their warranty and return policy is phenomenal. If you have any problems, no matter how old the product is, they will stand by their products. I have been really impressed by them. Don't hesitate to buy this light.

Light and efficient
I normally wear a head lamp during night runs, but found that turning my head to see the edge of the road was risky. This hand torch worked great to direct to the side if I needed to, without taking my headlamp from the area ahead of me. It is very light and comfortable to wear and it is a good spot light. I feel safer running at night with a back-up light and the alarm button is a nice feature as well as not having to have batteries.

Great for night runs
I use it weekly on my night runs after work, it’s very bright! Also used it on a Ragnar trail run at night, and it worked brilliantly (no pun intended) to keep me safe from tripping on tree roots and rocks.

Great device, but but breaks almost immediately. Twice!
I honestly love this product for its intended use, but I have now purchased two and the charging input on both has broken within days. The metal housing in to which the charging cord fits dropped in to the body on both of the devices meaing that they could not be recharged. I have now poured about $75 in to two of these and gotten about two weeks of use total out of both of them. It's a total bummer since they work great out on the trail in the dark, but I can't given them anything more than one star given how cheap and fragile the charging input is.

Nice, but maybe not for running
I bought this to use on morning runs. Not all of the run is dark, so I typically use a flashlight sporadically throughout the run.The on/off switch is not easily accessible while running and you have to hold it for a couple of seconds before it comes on. Several times I accidentally pushing the panic button instead of the on switch.Additionally, the light has a very bright center illumination, but it is very small. I much prefer a brighter, and broader light while running. That being said, this is probably suitable for walkers and those that will keep the light on the entire time. The red flashing light on the back is excellent and bright and the strap to hold on the hand fits perfect.

No batteries!
Love the fact the flashlight is rechargeable. I can charge it in my car if I forget to do it overnight. The light is bright but after a few days it lessens. It is great for running, so lightweight..but you need more than this to be safe when it is dark out.

Safety and Practicality
This is the most amazing light I have found for running. I barely even know I'm carrying it and it lights up the road and I can even see into the woods or on someone's property. I like that it has different ways of lighting the road (solid, blinking, red light). It also has a blinking red light at the back and an alarm in case something happens. Finally, I charge it once a week and run about 6 hours during the week and it lasts. I highly suggest this if you are a runner

Not disappointed, really great torch
I've been using smaller hand torches whilst running early hours and decided to get treated to this for Xmas. Not disappointed, really great torch. The light is much brighter and is so much easier to 'hold', no longer do I get grippers cramp. Would definitely recommend.

It may work…or not
You’d think I would have learned my lesson but no. Why?This is the second Nathan Zephyr hand torch I’ve bought. My previous torch worked well and suddenly stopped working after charging. The alarm worked, but the light didn’t.I was happy to see this was available and bought it, charged it…same problem. But this was new and I thought it was wasn’t charged enough so tried charging it again. It had the same problem - the alarm worked but the light was dead on arrival.Credit to TradeINN, I got a refund, but such a disappointment to have the same recurring problem with the same model Nathan hand torch. I’ve noticed on the Nathan website that there’s a newer model to this so may consider getting that one to see if it has the same issues. When it works, I found it great for running in the city, especially down poorly lit streets with dodgy pavements. To have the torch and alarm in one device is comforting, as there’s also a rear red light that has different settings (steady, flashing). It fit comfortably and naturally in my hand and the hand strap is adjustable.

The torch itself is great and easy to hold
The torch itself is great and easy to hold. The problem is the recharge connection is not great. The connection is loose and does not charge well. This is the second one of these torches I have had and they both have the same problem. I wont be buying a third one when this one fails.
