I believe they are 3/8" thick, and 3.5 to 4inches long. They appear to be high strength steel, too.

Q: My wall studs are 24” on center. Will I be able to use these corner shelves or only those for 16” studs?

You don't have to 'put them in a corner'. I put mine on several feet apart on the same wall. With 24" studs, maybe the brackets 24" apart, and you would have about 12" outward on each bracket. They are 2 feet deep and 4 feet wide, and they are 2 separate shelves, that can be mounted in a 'corner'.

Q: How many brackets comes with each shelf

I got 2 brackets per shelf. They are very strong. I have had no issues in 2 years+, and look back in this system for my pictures and comments shortly after my install.

Q: Can you buy extra brackets if you need them?

I don't know, possibly. Call the vendor (WEST COAST in/near L.A.) I had a couple of nice discussions with a man there, he was helpful.
