Active pickup mod
I used these to run old Seymour Duncan lw-hmet humbuckers from the 80’s. These pickups require 18v to operate. Finding room for two 9v batteries in the control cavity is sometimes impossible on certain guitars. Since they’re designed for 18v this really isn’t much of a mod. I notice a small amount of treble missing and the feel isn’t as squishy as with two 9v.

Bought these to modify for a home made remote control project. Works good. I modified the polarity to adjust output voltage.

Used for 24v mod emg
Used this in my jackson dinky with a dpdt 3way switch so I can run 9v or 24v by flipping the switch. I cut the switch supplied off. Works as needed. Only needed 2 but now I have more for lighting projects

Great option for 24v
These are pretty good. I don't really need the switch so I cut them off. Be careful soldering the plastic melts easily.

Too wide to fit in a 9v guitar battery box
Seems like a reasonably solid product. Too wide to fit in a 9v guitar battery box without modification though.

For guitar active pickups
Usefull to run guitar active pickups on 24v instead of 9v or 18v, i use 2 small 12v batteries and its about the same size and cheaper than a 9 v battery
