DALIOberon 5 Floorstanding Speakers (Pair) (Ash Black)

After weeks of research I bought these to replace my Celestion F2s that were over 25 years old! I've had them around 2 months and I have to say that I am impressed by their performance, they have enough bass without overshadowing the mid and highs and there's plenty of detail. I have them paired with an Audiolab 6000 and they make a good match. I would highly recommend.

Amazing sound stage

I bought these to replace a pair of Dali Zensor 1s and am very pleased with them. I expected to see a significant improvement given the price difference but right from the start, even before "running in", they sounded great. I have now had them for a month. They are the front pair of my 5.1 system for TV & movies but my main reason for upgrading was for listening to music in stereo, mostly on Amazon Music HD streamed via a Bluesound Node 2i and a Denon Receiver/Amp.

They look good, they sound good (so much better than my old speakers) and we’re recommended by what hi-fi and sound engineer friends of mine.

I bought the black oak version with the grey covers, they look great. For me the best part of their sound is that they do not shout "look at me" , they present the music in a well ordered way, with no emphasis in any particular area. Fantastic sound, with, no fatigue, loving them. Highly recommended.

The arrival of the Oberon's has rekindled my interest in music. They are articulate, fast, and and have a fantastic soundstage - no toe-in.I compared them with the Q Acoustic 3050i's and there is really no contest. The Dali's are precise and clean, without being clinical, they have a brilliant accurate bass response and whilst the top end may be a bit bright for some, for me it works.Excellent build and straight out of the box they sound great. I've had them for a few weeks now and they are coming into their own. Sound quality improves still more as I come up to the 100 hours running-in time.Beware, if you play poor recordings through these speakers, they show no mercy. Equally, if the rest of your kit is not up to their standard, the Dali's will find it out.They handle orchestral sound with ease, instrument placement is precise, probably because of the cinemascope soundstage, they have great rock presence and a terrific way of conveying emotion in vocals. They handle complex music with ease. These are articulate: speakers that can be listened to for hours, without getting listening fatigue. Truly audiophile quality.What are you waiting for - go buy!UPDATEJust checking back, a month after my first review. I'm happy to report that the honeymoon goes on. The speakers have opened up and deliver an incredible soundstage. The dynamics have improved and the frequency response still surprises me with its terrific range.
