Bogart and Bacall: The Complete Collection [Blu-ray]

Excellent transfer of the films with great sound quality.

Enough has been said about these films elsewhere, so I will will stick to describing this release specifically. This is a 4 disc set containing the Warner Archives Blu-ray releases of The Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not, Key Largo, and Dark Passage. Unlike for example Warner's "Film Favorites" collections, they are not double-stacked and each disc is given its own tray. This set offers a significant discount (even at MSRP) with no significant downside over the individual releases (unless you really want the individual case art, I guess). Great value for the money.

I wanted all four of these films and when I saw this I didn't hesitate.

Warner Archive released this collection of all 4-films that Humphry Bogart and his wife/co-star Lauren Bacall starred in together, looking fine in HD, porting over all previous extras, though nothing new was added. FYI...After reading ms. Bacall's Novels..(great read)..even though they're sort of ..um.. like the "Star Wars Trilogy" of sorts..one picks up where it should have "maybe" been written before the other..hope that makes sense. But, great to see the beginnings of a Hollywood couple who stuck to their relationship until it was..over, the sad part. Enjoy!..cr/

Great collection of Bogie & Bacall movies!! Anyone that is a fan will love this DVD!

All 4 are superb movies beautifully transferred. Lauren Bacall is drop dead gorgeous especially in High Definition.
