German Schauss's Serious Shred: Advanced Techniques

To anyone that practices SERIOUSLY, this book is for you. I highly recommend this book for anyone that wants to push the envelope as German Schauss has some very challenging exercises here on DVD.I look forward for a VOLUME II of this book because even though is very good, I have a very good feeling that German has a lot more for us in store.If you wish to take your playing to the next level after practicing Paul Gilbert, this is the next book to buy!!RAY ST JOHN

I have purchased a few if Germans books and I find them all really good. You'll learn and get a nice finger workout. Highly recommend

Be sure that you have read the title of this book "advance techniques" before you order it. Probably I got confused with the other book "Essential..." as they look pretty similar or maybe I just clicked in the wrong book. Anyway, the DVD is well made, but as this is an advance lesson, German plays at high speed (for me) the first past of each lesson or technic. No much opportunity to follow him or practice many time without stopping the video. My 9 years old still laugh of the instructor when he says after showing how to do it first (once again at high speed for me) "now let's play together" and he start shredding like a crazy. I think you have to be really advanced to follow this book. But then if you are so advanced, would you need this book? I don't think so.

Falls short of what I was expecting.

This book is a must have for students AND teachers. Schauss's technique is easy to understand, perfectly logical, and best of all you get results. Soon your fingers will be skimming those strings and shredding like a rock star!

German explains everything simple and clear. Very well constructed lesson and comes with dvd and tabs and music. I plan to continue future lessons with german. I feel hes exactly what ive needed to improve my playing tremendously.

Good book but his total shred book and Shred work out books are much complete

There are some great shredding techniques being taught in this book/cd by a fantastic guitarist. The lessons are very well explained. I'm really pleased with it. It's definitely for the more advanced of players. Really high quality video too :)

Not any real teaching going on in this book and not much detail, total shred is a more comprehensive book, but my favourite is still troy stetina speed mechanics for a good technique workout.
