Never reccomend this sellar.
This was absolutely disgraceful. The items arrived with packaging damaged The item was smaller than the one advertised, cheap plastic I thought it was more suitable for a childs toy kitchen than to use for pastie making.34 .99 I paid then compared online same ones less than 5 pounds .seller offered me half price I declined and wanted full refund which I got in the end.shoukd have reported for false advertising.

Not quite authentic
How can this be a Cornish Pasty maker when Cornish Pasties are flat on one side, while the pasties these things make are round on both sides! I wish I'd never bought them as they don't seal the pasty, which then leaks, because the hinge doesn't take into account the thickness of the pastry. I make much better pasties by hand.

Regularly used in my kitchen
A pasty press is a regularly used item in my kitchen and recently when I had to replace my existing kitchen equipment, I bought this product because it had all three sizes of pasty maker in one box. I felt it was a little costly compared to other presses I had in the past but the plastic is decent quality and the hinges strong enough for the job. I make pasties regularly using a basic cheese dough, and a filling of minced leftover meats laced with salami and mixed 50/50 with ricotta cheese. I use the smallest one mainly, and the medium one occasionally. The large press is not for me, but this in no way reflects the quality of the product, merely the appetite of the people in my household who prefer picnic size pasties. This morning I 'knocked up' sixty (60) pasties in the time it took to preheat the oven.I dont understand the comments in the review by Zippy. If you want a 'proper' Cornish pasty, then yes, make it by hand. The same applies with almost everything; authentic items are made in an authentic way, but this is not what this product is about. If your pasties are bursting, they are overfilled, and you have not pierced the pastry before cooking. I have never had an incident of bursting hinges. If the pastry isnt sealing then you have not brushed the seal with egg/milk before pressing. If you want the pasties to have a flat base, lie them on there side. I stand mine on the baking tray with the fluted pastry pointing upwards and give them a push onto the baking tray to give them a flat bottom. I have no problems with this, and all 60 of my pasties have just been removed from the oven in perfect condition and shape. This is a good product for it's purpose, and better made than previous ones I have bought. Overall I am willing to forgive the price, which I believe should be under the ten pound mark, and give it a 5 star rating. It is a product I would buy again in future.
