So far the pepper mill works like most of the others. Twist it and guess what? Rough ground pepper comes out—that is, if you put pepper corns in through the top. I like it because the pepper is stronger that from preground pepper and it’s easy to spot in the cabinet. The finish is so so but I hope the mechanics hold up. I think it puts out a far amount of pepper for the effort.

my father-law often complained about the hand held pepper grinder he was using , for many years . well i got this before the holidays . knowing we would be there for many family gathering . like 4 weekends in a row . this perfectly table size pepper grinder was a hit . for the whole family ! all 12 yes twelve , everyone was so please with the ease al use. pass the pepper was almost joke . but after several weekends of use dad no longer complained .. great buy ..

This pepper mill has a great grind.I am very happy. Holds up well use after use. I ordered it for use at a restaurant salad bar, so it is used and filled very often.

This item is easy to use.

I like the size and feel of this mill. Nice smooth and warm oak, and easy to grip, even with wet hands. There is adjustability to the courseness of the grind, but it is done by turning the little knob on top, so it’s not “course”, “medium” and “fine”. You just have to play with the knob to get the courseness you want. I imagine it will be durable. I’ll update this review if something fails in an unreasonable amount of time.Update: I’ve had this mill for 10 months and it already broke. I’ll be looking for a more durable one next.

It's a nifty little grinder; approximately 8" tall but works just fine.

It really is adjustable from a coarse grind to a fine grind. I also like the finish on the mill - it sort of looks like aged wood and it is a good height.
