I have struggled with Dandruff for most of my adult years. It gets really bad during the season change. I have also been losing hair for the last 10 years. I'm not bald, just thinning. I've tried a number of different products, all of which work for a little bit, but it just masks it. The dandruff always returns. Nizoral said it would deal with both dandruff and hair fall out, and it could used only once a week. I ordered this out of frustration and crossed my fingers that it would work. I've followed the instructions using it every 3-4 days now for two weeks. I do a quick wash and follow it up with a nice lather that I let sit for 10 minutes or so. After the first wash, I couldn't tell a huge difference. I didn't get the "good burn" that some people talk about either. After the second wash though, I could tell my scalp was improving. Now that I've used it 4 times, I can honestly say that I have NO DANDRUFF. This is the first time in my adult life I've ever said that. This is seriously a miracle product! The bottle says to continue the once ever 3-4 days thing for up to 8 weeks. Then drop down to about once a week. I will try the once a week washing sooner than 8 weeks for sure. Some folks have mentioned that the "smell" can be off-putting, however, I don't find it that bad at all. If you've ever tried T-Gel, you know how bad it can be, and Nizoral is no where close to that. I use a touch of conditioner afterward and there is no trace. I totally recommend this product.

If you suffer from seborrheic dermatitis, this shampoo works to calm the scalp and prevent the dry, itchy flaking. We have tried everything but I didn’t want to put my teenager on big drugs or use Tar shampoo. We tried everything from oatmeal to apple cider vinegar over the years. This is the routine that worked for us. Using a scalp massage brush to loosen the dead skin when the scalp is dry before shampooing, then using Nizoral on both the scalp and eyebrows. Let it sit for a minute after massaging. Whenever we try anything else, the seborrheic dermatitis flares up and flakes wildly. Hopefully this continues to work.

Bought this for my husband. It began to work instantly and after only a few uses, any flakes have disappeared! He only uses it 2-3 times per week. So thankful for this!

I do not have a dry scalp or dandruff. I bought this because I am one of the unlucky women of the world who in her mid 40s right around the time of the commencement of menopause, began to lose her hair. I am not 53 and have tried every shampoo, essential oil for massage, vitamin, mineral, etc to reverse the situation. I read somewhere that the active ingredient in this shampoo can encourage hair growth, so here I am nearly 10 years later still grasping at straws. I am sure this is a fine product, but in my own case, nothing has changed. I still am the owner of a head with about 35% of my hair gone, and what remains is thin, wispy and lank.

I used this for the first time today. Very powerful, with a pungent but somewhat pleasant smell. I could feel the oils being stripped from my hair. Alot of hair strands came out too, but I think that's my hair in shock from changing shampoos. It leaves my hair very clean and soft, however very dry. Drink Alot of water right after using. Isn't think I've ever had my hat this clean and oil free in my life though! I'm also using for hair thinning on the top of my head, so see how this goes. Little nervous after seeing more hair come out, but gonna keep going! I've used this for about a month now, and I can literally feel the fuzzy hairs coming in ALL OVER THE SCALP! ITS WORKING! I drank a ton of water, used one of those massage brushes to shampoo in Nizoral, and took vitamin D supplements and used this shampoo every 3 days.

The scent is not very pleasant but it gets the job done so who cares. My husband uses this about 2x per week as a mask on his back & chest for tinea versicolor. The ketoconazole in this product is potent enough he doesn’t have to use it every day and keeps his breakouts at bay through the year. He typically has to use it a little more frequent in the summer than the winter. Also - might consider picking up a body lotion that doesn’t feed fungus/yeast if you’re using this product because it does have a tendency to dry out the skin. Follow me on Insta @Partial_Marshall. I've had a dandruff issue for nearly 20 years and I've tried many different versions of pyrithione zinc shampoos (IE: Head and shoulders) none seemed to have much effect on the problem. Finally I did a little research and found out there are more intensive options available, such as Nizoral. I noticed a difference within using 3 times (you are supposed to only use Nizoral every 3-4 days). Around the two weeks timeframe, I had noticeably less dandruff on my shirt. It's not perfect... I still have a minimal of flakes, but I'd guess I see a 85% reduction in flakes. I have no complaints about the product, it smells nice and leaves my hair feeling clean. Recommended!
