Sunpan Modern 102743 Thatcher Dining Chair, Grey

This is a black fake leathers material, and if you touch it with any grease or oil on your hands (like after preparing dinner), it will leave a stain. I like the shape however and it serves it's purpose as the main chairs we use at dinner time. The seats are very firm, no padding at all. But, having said that, they are roomy & comfortable enough for the 25 minutes or so it takes to eat there. One other thing-- the legs are not metal, but some kind of painted material that falls short of gold. It is more of a tan-gold. It does look contemporary and has a bit more style that a plain barrel back chair. The legs leave marks on my light colored floor, so will have to figure out something for that. I hate those little felt pads that stick---because they never do quite stick for any length of timeThe other choice of materials would be some type of fabric like velvet, and I just did not want to go that formal. Bottom line is if I had a do over, I would have bought something of a higher quality.

I loved the product at first but not even 2 months after purchasing it, the backing zipper of the chair opened up. The entire cushion of the chair is open and it looks horrible. I passed the return date, but have no choice but to keep it and just throw a blanket over it so you don't see it. DON'T BUY PRODUCT. Cheap quality !

Simple elegant and steady, nothing fancy but does not look too cheap, I got gray color I may get another one

It's cute. But the holes aren't lined up right. So I could only screw in 2 of the bolts. Not sure how that will effect the life of the chair, but I won't let anyone heavy in it. It's not worth sending back. It also came with scuffs and a white stain in the seat.

Initially I was skeptical about the price.. although the chair does look nice in the picture I wasn’t sure if I should really splurge on a $200 chair. But after assembling it I can only say it’s one of the most beautiful chairs I’ve ever come across. Modern, sleek design and definitely sturdy and super comfortable.

Edit: my sister finally bought a 4th one. It looks nice.Order 3 Sunpan chairs for my sister. We were not sure if she needed 3 or 4. They are elegant but bulky enough so that 3 chairs are perfect for this 50 inch table.
