I really like that this is made in the USA. I love this cooler. It keeps our food cool so much longer. So far we have only camped 5 days and everything stayed cold (love my milk cold). I always take milk and a can of real spray whip cream for my desserts and coffee) meats, cheeses, butter, eggs, veg everything stays great. Would buy again and recomend. Great quality well worth investment.

Best cooler yet, beats my yeti

Very pleased with the 58 Quart ORCA Cooler. It is the size that provides a good capacity and still can be lifted by one person. The dimensions are also uniquely suited to use the CoolerShock large size aluminum packets even standing the long-wise on edge. The interior of this cooler is flat on the bottom and on all four sides, unlike wheeled coolers that have curved bottoms that make it very hard to effectively use the artificial ice products available. We had previously been using the Pelican 65 quart model which also keeps items cools for many days, but it is so heavy with an awkward width that requires two super humans to get it from point A to point B. The ORCA is generally rated on par with a Pelican or YETI brand cooler, yet is typically lower cost. We are very pleased with the overall quality and particularly the refrigerator type seal.

We did a lot of research before choosing between a Yeti and an Orca. The Orca’s ability to keep ice cold for the longest amount of time beat all the other coolers on YouTube video we watched. We keep our cooler at our cabin and we only need to drain and add ice around Day 6. We used to have to run every two days to get ice with our Coleman, so this is a huge win! We are considering getting a second one, but smaller, to keep all of our drinks in because we love it so much! Only thing I wish it had were wheels built into it. Because this sucker is heavy when you have to move it anywhere with ice and your items in there!!

UPDATE: After about 2 years I am updating my review bc I am annoyed that my cooler will not fit in my trunk!!!! I’ve tried 3 diff cars for camping trips & the cooler always ends up in the backseat which rly puts a damper on trips when we have extra people & no one with a truck! Part of the fun of camping is that when you do dispersed it’s free so the fact we’ve had to rent a car to just fit everyone & our cooler sucks. Just be aware if you drive a car it will not fit in the trunk! I’m still leaving 4 stars because it does what it’s supposed to keeps ice forever but this design flaw is frustrating. If it was a half inch or inch smaller it’d fit.I did some serious research before deciding what rotomolded cooler I wanted to buy ((meaning I watched a 10 minute YouTube vide comparing ice life in diff models)) and decided the orca was best for me. Bought this baby and it arrived super quick! I prechilled my cooler before my trip and used that bag of ice plus another bag of ice on a 4 day trip to sequoia with my friends. The ice lasted the whole time and the cooler was sealed so good I had to open the drain to release pressure to get it to open twice! The food to ice ratio was way off.. we packed it with so much food but it still kept everything cool + we had it in a black roof rack the whole way there and back (a 5 hour drive each way in 100° heat) and still had ice when we got home! Best cooler ever and cheaper than most other models + American made! I’ve only used this once but will be truly testing it for 10 days at burning man next month! If anything changes I’ll edit my review but at this point 10/10 would recommend to a friend

This is a super nice cooler. I bought this as a gift for my significant other and he loves it! I purchased the 58 quart in tan and the quality is evident. I was a little nervous about the front "whale tail strap closures" due to I could picture the rubber breaking or warping over time, but the rubber is super thick and stretchy I cannot foresee any issues with this. Do know that even empty this cooler is heavy though! Don't expect a lightweight cooler when you are buying something that will keep your food cold for many days. This is a great cooler and is made in the US. I was deciding between this and a Yeti, and found better reviews for this.

Great cooler! After the Yeti 65 I purchased wouldn't hold ice for more than 3 days, I bought an Orca 58qt. What a difference! I dont know if it holds up to the advertisement claims, but it held ice for 5 days on my sun porch and it still had some ice and cold water in it after 7. A significant improvement over the Yeti! And it has a lifetime warranty, unlike Yeti's 5 year, it's actually made in the USA unlike what Yeti claims, and ot was cheaper to buy than a compatible Yeti! I ended up buying the basket for it, which cost me another $26, but it was still cheaper than a comparable Yeti, and the Orca actually works!

Purchased as a gift after days of research on the best brand, best ratings & best reviews. Appreciate the quality, guarantee and most importantly...that Orca is Made in the USA.* update 3 years later and we love this cooler so much we’ve purchased 2 others as well as chasers, rockets and Hydra’s. By far the best investment we’ve made. Ice lasts for a week, far outlasting the Yeti our friends have.
