This is a great modifier, we use it all the time both on location and in our studio. Fits perfectly onto our studio lights, and it throws good light. We'd love to see a version of this done with a cloudy plastic as well, like the smaller half-dome Godox AD S17. We've used the Ultrapure for a variety of commercial shoots, and it's very versatile. We've used it as a key, as a fill, as a rim light, etc. So far it's been sturdy as well, surviving travel and heavy use. I highly recommend this product, especially to any photographer who's sick of carrying around giant modifiers.

It's amazing how something so inexpensive can do so much. It takes our Godox AD600 and AD400 (with Bowens adapter) and really softens the light quite nicely. As wedding photographers we never leave home without it as it's great for group shots or just those portrait moments where you don't have time to setup a whole beauty dish or softbox. We affectionately refer to it as the "Sherlock" as it just kind of has that Sherlock Holmes late 1800's street light vibe to it.Now, you're not going to get the same portrait effects as you would with a softbox but it does a great job nonetheless. And when you are dealing with groups and families where softboxes are too limiting this guy really shines (pun intended) as it spreads the light out almost 180°.I would say this is an incredible buy that you just really can't afford to not have in your arsenal.

I don't understand what other reviewers are excited about. This diffuser doesn't diffuse good, still produces harsh shadows. Am I missing something? I will have to return. Kind of disappointed with this.

Works very well. Emits a really nice even light. I use this diffuser for real estate and for event photos. It has a nice soft cast when used as a bounce light. Happy with my purchase!
