Diamondite Glass Clay Bundle

I had very persistent translucent white streaks embedded in the windshield.This kit didn't work in removing them. In all fairness, neither did anything else:* Windex.* Bon Ami.* White Vinegar.* 0000 Steel Wool.* LAS Totally Awesome Cleaner.* Several compounds tried at an Auto Glass place.In the end, I replaced the windshield.This clay kit is pretty strange. Instructions tell you to spray on the lub and rub the glass with the clay until it stops 'grabbing'. Well, it seems to work just the opposite: when the lub is applied, the clay glides around and seems to do nothing. When the lub evaporates off, THEN the clay starts to grab.I actually used the clay without the lub for a while and it actually seemed to remove my problem streaks ... until the windshield got wet - then it all came back.I have my doubts about this stuff working for anything, but as I said, it was no worse a failure than anything else I or the Auto Glass guys used. Of course, I'm out $30 for something that didn't work ... at least everything else I tried was cheap!

The other review should be ignored. The person with the white streaks that used this product bought a vacuum and expected it to act like a mop. They had permanent scratches in glass and if you think clay can fix that you are 100% wrong.This product is designed to remove surface contaminants not defects in the glass. Straight from their website "The Diamondite Glass Clay Bundle enables you to clean glass below the surface to remove embedded dirt, oil, bugs, tar, and industrial fallout. Contaminants that cannot be removed with an ordinary glass cleaner can be removed with the Diamondite Glass Clay Bundle."I use this about twice a year on my truck windshield. Right before winter and again in the spring before I apply Aquapel rain repellent. It prepares the surface by removing all the contaminants so the aquapel can bond to the entire glass surface. It works exactly like it should. I have used others but this is by far my favorite glass clay kit.
