Q: Can I use existing power supply from my old camera which has a 5volt/ 1.5 amp output with fuse protection?

Sorry - I installed mine with only power from the car's cigarette lighter output. I checked in my manual and it states "12v~24v power cord – approved power supply to suit, use of non-approved power supplies may damage your camera and could void warranty." So, my guess is that your power supply would not work.

Q: Why don't SG offer both or bundle both cameras to make it easier for consumers to shop is beyond me?

Q: what would I need to hardwire the camera to my fuse box?

Yes, you will need a fuse kit, if the unit doesn't come with one. Make sure to wire it appropriately to a source that works even when the car is turned off, ie., cigarette lighter.

Q: Formatting samsung evo 512. the card has been formatted in the camera to fat 32, but keeps asking to format it. help?

Sounds like a problem with the card. Download and run “SD Memory Card Formatter” app. it will be the first internet search result. It’s for Mac or Windows. Select the “overwrite” option. It will take a few hours to complete. You also need to confirm you’re on the latest firmware for your DashCam. There was a bug fixed if you’re on an older version Still.
