Amazon says that this starter kit is frequently bought together with "Wall Adapter Power Supply - 9V DC 650mA". Do I need to buy this power supply?

No, Arduino gets power (and is programmed) from a computer via a USB cable that is included in the box.  The kit also comes with an adapter to hook up a 9v battery, but I haven't tried it yet.  If you wanted to plug in your arduino to a wall socket for power once you finished your project you would need some sort of power adapter like the adapter you listed.

does this include a solderless breadboard?  specs on breadboard?

Hi, Yes it includes a small solderless bread board. The breadboard is approximately 2.25 X 3.25 inches and is more than adequate for all the projects in the kit.Hope that helps

It doesn't come with the kit, but you can download it for free from their website with full instructions on how to install it.
