Mr.Ghost EMF Detector for iPhone

An interesting device.I will attempt to give as thorough and accurate a review as possible based on my personal experience.This thing does read electro-magnetic fields. I used it in a variety of settings and found it to read for the most part.I did use this for its advertised purposes, however results are inconclusive. Which is no surprise giving the nature of that type of field test. So I will not rate this based on any paranormal investigation results.Now, something I did noticed during the investigation, is it seems to be limited in a smaller band of frequencies then other devices. Things that would cause readings on a device called a K-2 meter, will not necessarily cause readings on the Mr. Ghost.This can be both good and bad. While cell phones and walkie talkies can cause readings to spike a K-2, it will not the Mr. Ghost.However, some things in the buildings we where in, such as the poor wiring running through the floor of one location and the fuse boxes, did not cause a spike in readings in the Mr. Ghost but did light up the k-2 meter. I was a bit, confused by this experience, and a bit disappointed.Now, I kept the settings in the app, at max sensitivity, but also max offset so it mostly read at 0 when away from known sources of EMR, so that if something did spike it, I knew it was possibly something "unnatural"One thing that will set the Mr. Ghost off more then anything is florescent lights. During our ghost tour walk, we walked past a gas station with a large florescent sign in the parking lot. From about 30 feet out my readings spiked from 0 up over 100. As I got closer right up to the sign, I was reading over 5000. (Insert DragonBallZ quote here)So, over all, I'm happy with my purchase. I see myself using this way more for electrical work then ghost hunting. I work more with audio/video equipment, only a casual (more like once a year) ghost chaser. Its interesting to see where some EM fields might be coming from in certain equipment. If it really detects ghosts or not, who knows. Will it detect certain EM fields, yes, no doubt!

I consider this one of the dumbest purchases I've ever made. This thing isn't worth 25 cents, let alone $25. I feel like such a fool for thinking this thing would actually work. It's a gimmick that simply responds to sound and the iPhone accelerometer. Buyer beware.The seller was great though, fast shipping, much appreciated.

Setting this to the highest setting and you have to be within inches of something to even see a reading. Was hoping for something a tad more sensitive.

I have not had much opportunity to use it for ghost hunting...actually none that hasn't been around electricity. I still like it though. It does show electrical waves and things. I also think the app is a bit too hard to read when all you want to do with it is ghost hunt! However, like I said, I have not taken it out to any non-electrical areas yet, so that would probably make a difference. I have not used it at all in the past year... I do carry it in my purse though just in case I come across an opportune moment!

I have found this to be quite accurate in the EMF hot spot areas in my living space. I also have traditional EMF meters and this so far has given me correct readings. You do have to set it up correctly before using, The base reading will be in the 7 - 8 range. This Detector shows my router to be in the 12 range and my TV to be in the 25-30 range. I recommend this detector if you wish to locate areas in your living space that might give off high EMF. The user interface is visually very appealing compared to the traditional EMF meters, and I find this more fun to use. I'm not sure how it will work with finding ghosts, but if the theory that ghosts disrupt electro-magnetic fields is true then this should detect that as well, considering all other EMF sources are eliminated.On an aesthetic note, I like the black color as it matches well with my iPhone. The antenna is also very sturdy and well constructed. Overall, I'm very pleased.

I was leery about this item, but I'm actually impressed with the developer's skills. He's obviously an engineer who put a lot of thought and time into the item and the supporting software.As to its effectiveness... we're dealing with the paranormal. I don't think it can be measured decisively until its used repeatedly in active situations.So negative reviews are really unfair... give people and their efforts the benefit of the doubt. Especially given what we're hoping to achieve with this creation.

This was purchased as a gift for a friend that is into anything mysterious, haunted, or freaking with ghosts. I knew she didn't have one & contributed to say she wanted abb ENF detector. I can't honestly say if it works or not because I'm not willing to go it with her to find out. Lol, but I'm sure if there had been a problem she works have voiced that immediately.

It does not pick up microwaves for some reason and app is very glitchy.
