Leviton Grounding Lighted Cord End Replacement, 515CV-LIT

Outstanding quality and performance, I was using an extension cord which was getting hot in the plug and connector sides, and I replaced them for these ones from Leviton brand, and what a difference, the heat stopped instantly since the connection feels very tight now and before it was loose, for safety this is the brand you can trust, very easy to install and the price you cannot beat, it worth every penny, and the size is kind of bulky but since this is a heavy duty connector, you will be very happy with it.

With colder weather here, I plug my pickup in every night so it starts easier. I realized the first time I went to plug it in this winter that the end of my cord had been damaged so I found this plug to repair it. Wiring this new plug on is very easy and straightforward, just make sure you 1, understand how to do it and 2, make sure to unplug the other end of the cord first. The quality of the plug is pretty good and I really like the light in the end as my kids like to unplug the cord if they need/want to use the outlet for something else during the day so now when I get home, as I pick the cord up to plug the truck in, if I don't see the light I know I need to plug the other end in as well.

Good female plug. The screw in flat crimp points in the plug don’t stay open when you unscrew the screws for the wire connections. This makes it aggravating to put the wires in place to wire the plug. Other than that it’s a good plug. I like the pilot light in the plug.

ONE of the Best extension cord end replacements I have ever used. Excellent build quality with great # 2 Philip Head screws that the heads do not strip off. You also get a green light if your have all your connections correct and safe for outdoor use not under water. 👍

Fixed damaged extension cord with this. Easy to install and very secure. The green lighting is quite bright and clearly indicates if power is available which is important in Interior Alaska where I live - I use this cord to power the block, oil, and transmission heaters as well as the battery trickle charger on my truck when it is parked, and there is no room for error at 40 below zero.

I added this Leviton Replacement End to my retractable Power Extrension Cord in place of the original 3-headed receptacle that could no longer provide consistent, full electrical power to two of the outlets. That old head also had a barely-visible orange Neon internal pilot light, while this new Leviton unit has a bright green LED inside, visible day or night to confirm that juice is present (and the Breaker hadn't been accidentally tripped). I was impressed by the build quality and ease of assembly, and how well it holds onto the power cord. Took me less than 10 minutes to replace the old head; there are 2rd-party plug-in 3-head extensions if you need.

A little pricey, but great brand and quality. Works very well.
