Does not get very hot
I returned this item because although it claims it's good for keeping drinks and candles warm, it didn't get warm enough to use for my candle. I don't know if it gets warm enough for liquids, as I didn't try that and I did not purchase this item for drinks anyhow. Disappointed it didn't meet my needs because it's a good size and attractive.

Not Enough Warming
I returned this product because it did not keep my tea warm, the plug was too large and there were no english instructions included.

Better than I expected
I have to admit, I didn't have the highest of hopes for this, but I figured I'd check it out and see if it was worthwhile.Glad I did. When I plugged it in, I noticed that it was warm but not hot. The description here says 55° C, which is about 130° F -- that's enough to keep something warm, but not enough to make your cold drink hot, and it won't burn you if you touch it. It basically just feels warmer than everything else, like a particularly warm spot on your laptop, or one of those pocket hand warmers. But I have a habit of getting a cup of coffee, then starting in on some project and forgetting about my drink for the next half hour, when I take a sip and discover that it's now cold, which is gross. But if I keep it on the mug warmer, it's still fairly warm when I come back to it. Like, warm enough that it doesn't seem lukewarm, but actually warm.So I guess I like this.

Not Feelin' It
I'm not nearly as enthused about this mug warmer as other reviewers appear to be. To be honest, I had thought that a 2-star review was appropriate, but realized that would be perhaps a bit unfair. So I settled on "3 stars" (and no more).Clearly, the look is 2008 MacBook. This is not meant to insult; it really does look like my 2008 white MacBook and to be honest, I like the look. Even the box it comes in is designed to evoke Apple-related emotions. All in all, the product looks and feels really, really nice. And simple to operate: on/off (a touch switch on the front). That's it.But beyond the look I really don't think the product "works." Let's start with the box. It is environmentally wasteful to an extent that is (thankfully) rarer these days. Big box, lots of plastic, it's awful. (Take a look at the product page photos.)Second, the instructions are all in Chinese (?). Not that this is a complicated item (it isn't), but English-language instructions (even poorly translated ones) would have been nice. There's no warning on the heat surface (like you can see on any number of alternatives here on Amazon). It's not that the surface gets burning hot, but in this day and age of obligatory warnings it seems odd there's nothing on the unit.Third, the AC power adapter is oddly sized and oddly large. Takes up space at the outlet that it shouldn't. (Take a look at the product page photos.)Fourth, and perhaps most importantly, I don't think it really works. I get that it's not supposed to heat anything up, but I didn't find it keeping anything very warm either. Then I realized it actually requires the kind of mugs (i.e., wide bottom) shown in the product page photos (and mugs I really don't have). But let's say you have the correct mug and that it works. At $39.99 (Amazon price at the time of this review) it's - to me - more than a bit on the expensive side for such a limited use item.I think the item appeals to a certain crowd, but it's a crowd I'm not a member of. So I'm going "3 stars."

Keeps my coffee warm til I finish it
This KUPX Cup Warmer keeps my coffee warm til I finish it - even in my cold house - and it looks nice on my desk.It arrives in a lovely box and it reminds me of Apple packaging. The warmer is white with a textured, brick red, heating surface. There is a touch sensitive ON button that is lit when the warmer is on. It is not USB powered, as many cup warmers are. It must be plugged in. It keeps liquids warm to 131 F so it's not piping hot. Just nicely warm. Because it is limited to 131 F, it's suitable for warming baby bottles, too.As with all cup warmers, flat bottom cups and mugs work best so the entire bottom makes contact with the warming plate. Fortunately, I have some large, glass, IKEA mugs that work perfectly. The negatives are that the AC adapter is pretty darn large. I have a power strip with lots of space between each receptacle so it's not a problem but I can see it would be an issue in some situations. Also, all of the packaging and inserts are in Chinese. This is a pretty self explanatory product but still, it would be nice to have a user guide in English for American markets. Finally, it's fairly pricey for a warmer. Despite the mentioned drawbacks, I like this very much. My house is old and drafty and in winter, it can be downright cold. This keeps my coffee warm so it's one of those small comforts that I really appreciate.
