Not quite as described.
The book is is Very Good condition, as described (tight binding), but the description specifies "clean pages." Several pages were marked with underlining and highlighting. This isn't a deal breaker, but the description wasn't entirely accurate.

The Artistic side of Black Power.
This anthology of African-American poetry was published in 1968 by Baraka and Larry Neal. It is a collection of some of the most forward-thinking Black Artists of the day. By "foward-thinking," we mean Black Nationalism through Black Arts. Several of those who submitted their poetry to be included in this publication were part of his "Black Arts Repertory Theatre" (now defunct). Excellent cross-section of early Black Power writings.

I have thought of some of the poetry over the years and I am glad to have found it again
this book was required reading for my class in High School. I have thought of some of the poetry over the years and I am glad to have found it again.

Good Read
Needed this book for a class but we didn't use it as often as we could've. All in all, the essays we did read out of it were very interesting, and organized well.
