English Double Devon Cream - pack of 3

This is a huge favorite of mine. It’s the best on semisweet treats, but certainly works as a boost for savory, as well. It’s creamy, thick like butter, & gives you that butter fat YUM as it melts in your mouth. Though I use it more often with semisweet breads & cookies, it’s just as tasty in anything you’d need butter for. Try it on something like zucchini bread, or English biscuits.

2 jars were spolied and the pop seal on the lid was broken. The one useable jar had a poor taste. Extremely disappointing for the price. Amazon needs to remove this from theirnsite....particularly when there are no returns allowed on something that arrives unuseable!

The bottles were well packed in bubble wrap, with no breakage or cracks upon arrival. I'm mainly using it on toast, and in sauces to replace regular butter (Because I figure why not, I like the flavour.) It mixes well with chicken and beef stock, with no separation. And I don't get the oily taste that can sometimes come with salted butter. And I have to hide it from my husband. Will definitely buy again after my current stock runs out.

I used the product in a French potato and cheese recipe called Aligot. It produced a much creamier result than had I used whipping cream. It is suggested in a number of French recipes as a substitute for creme fraiche. I will buy it again.

Good flavor. All jars were packaged nicely and protected but one I opened up in immediately smelt that it was spoiled and little bit of liquid coming out. Lid was loose probably since it was shipped from England, I don’t know, smelt like it though. I’d like to have the one replaced please. This is expensive stuff.

This is my first time trying double cream and it's very tasty. I'm glad they're in such small bottles since it doesn't keep long after opening and eating tons of this isn't likely to be good for me. Oh, and if you prefer your dairy chilled at serving, you may want to take it out of the bottle first and whisk it while the contents are at room temperature, then put it covered in the fridge. It firms up a lot on being chilled. Kind of like the consistency of a block of light cream cheese. With it in the bottle, once chilled, it's hard to stir it up and blend any separation of liquids and solids back together.

Quality is amazing. Sellers were helpful when my package arrived crushed.

Two out of the three jars leaked and the leakage got all over the package and smelled horrible - couldn't stand it. But rinsed everything off and tried the jar that was intact - when I opened it, the contents were separated and looked like hard scrambled eggs with a thin liquid. Took a chance and tasted it and almost threw up since the taste was so awful! I have had this product before, bought in a store and it was nothing like this. I then went to see if I could return the product or exchange it or at least get my money back -- alas! there are no returns and no refunds. DO NOT BUY!! Total waste of money!
