Smart Lab You Explore It: Human Body Model

My 6 yr old loves learning about the human body and enjoys trying to put this together herself. The squishy pieces make it more fun. The ONLY bad thing with it is that once you take it apart and put it back together, you can't really stand it back up, some of the parts will fall out if you stand it up. No big deal, we just keep ours laying down. Very educational.

This was a Christmas present for my 9-yo son. He has expressed an interest in anatomy ever since my wife started nursing school last year. He loves this toy and has named him "Bob." Bob has undergone multiple surgeries since Christmas and no internal organs have been lost.The only negatives I can see are that some of the bones (mainly the foot), don't stay well-anchored in place; however, once the clear top-shell is in place, everything stays put. In addition, my son was dismayed that there wasn't a spleen. So, if you're looking for an incredibly detailed internal model, you may want to look elsewhere. For kids, though, this is great. I just asked my son how big he thought Bob's spleen would be, and how long it would take for him to lose something that small. He was fine with that! What's cool is that I pointed him to some other resources and asked what else was missing (sneaky way to learn). Makes me happy to see him playing with this over video games!

We used this for my daughter to get an overview of the human body for her life science course. She loved it, as she is a visual learner. She was in 6th grade when she used it and while it is basic, it really helped her understand the basics of the insides of the body and helped her visualize what she was learning from her lessons. This would be too elementary for a high school course. Then, my 6 year old son played with it too -although, he just wanted to play like he was a surgeon and then squished it all up. My 6th grader has since been able to un-mess up what my 6 year old did, and put it all back together. So, she got to learn 2x. It was a very nice learning supplement!

Really neat little set that taught my granddaughter all the parts of the human body. I wish all the pieces weren’t so sticky that picked up all kinds of Dust and lint. They were not sticky at all after a while. Lots of little pieces to lose and sometimes really hard to put back together. I would suggest this not be purchased for anyone under 10 years of age

What 10-year-old boy wouldn't want this awesome toy? Even I was kind of fascinated by it. Very unique gift. It is a STEM gift too. Helps kids learn anatomy.There are 3 or 4 versions around. Different boxes, different parts included. Some with the brain, some without.This one is the top of the line as far as I know.

Great learning tool. I purchased this for my child as a gift, because she was so fascinated about learning about the body and the different systems. It is a good way of learning about all your organs. They only thing I would recommend is to make sure you lay the parts out on paper, because the are a gel form they will pick up lint and fibers quickly, but all and all it is really useful.

I bought this human body model for my 5-year-old daughter ^_^ honestly: I believe the construction is wonderful, the squishy organs are nicely detailed, and they fit nicely in the cavity however: the top piece of the ribs does not snap into place on mine… I just left the plastic tape over the hole and cover it back up when we are done playing with it… It fits fine in the organ tray to stand it up and display it

My kids love this and play with it all of the time. It's very sturdy and they love taking out each piece and matching it to the paper map. They are fascinated by the organs and really enjoy the book that came with it. I love how accessible and clear they make the information. The book takes you through eating a piece of pizza and how it's broken down and used by the body. There's cool Q and As and factoids. Very, very well done and would totally recommend this and buy it again.
