This stuff packs a punch! Even though it's a larger bottle, probably 1/2 to 1 tsp and you'll be set for your recipe. I was surprised that it's an opaque white, but as an emulsion of oil and water that makes sense.

I only use LirAnn baking emulsion because they are in my opinion the best on the market..... I'm a retired executive chef.

I thought that I didn’t shake the bottle when I first used this. It was a thickened clear color. I have used a different brand in the past and that was a creamy white. This did not provide the flavor I was looking for to use in royal icing. In fact, I didn’t think it had any flavor at all. I had my husband try a small amount and he couldn’t taste anything either. Not even a hint of orange. This was a waste of money. Will not order again. Very disappointed.

excellent flavor for baking products

I was disappointed in the flavor strength. It barely tastes orange after you bake it, and that's what it's for. I put in twice as much for the second batch of cookies, and it tells you to use less because it's so strong. No it wasn't. They still don't taste like orange. I'll go back to my Orange oil for candy making. That worked perfect.
