I bought this for my son for Christmas and so far it's been awesome. We've used it at the local lake and have found an assortment of things. It's a neat way of seeing what's at the bottom and it's also good for the environment, as you can properly dispose of metal things you recover. I'd highly recommend this brand.

i like the whole idea of this kit. I thought the scrapper was useless but has come quit handy. the air tight box is nice but the magnet still rusted up. I could have wiped it first. all and all I like everything but the price is way expensive compared to just buy the magnet and supplies separately.

Super strong magnet!!! Great little kit. I had a 350lb magnet before this one and kept it in a bucket before I lost it. This is a way better way to store and carry your magnet around. The rope is really good quality too. Caught two bikes on my first trip out.

So disappointed in this. We were so excited to try this and bought the full magnet kit. Not where we tied it on, but to the attachment to the magnet, separated. So we got absolutely nothing on those first 3 tosses and it detached on the 4th toss. We got nothing on the first three tosses, so we never even tugged on the magnet for it to detach from the pulling source. Extremely disappointed. Used it a bunch of places thinking I'd find anything but literally not a single thing. Just some rocks. Maybe there is nothing for it to grab, but I wouldn't know, all I know is that I haven't been able to get anything. Case is nice because it does get messy after use. Guess it would be good if you are using it to grab something you dropped somewhere. The magnet works okay but I was expecting it to be much stronger.

My husband is going to be very happy with this product, is currently under the tree and wrap for him.
