neverest® RK 4" Professional Backdraft Shutter Damper Connector Duct Fits Only with Metal Ducts

Excellent duct damper. I order and received a different 5" damper bade by ECOPRO originally but there were two springs on the 5" damper flaps, and it took quite a force to push open the flaps, so I ended up returning that and ordering the Neverest® RK 5" Backdraft Shutter Damper. The damper opens with a minimal amount of pressure and the quality of the unit is great. My issue was that we have a down draft cooktop and when there was a descent amount of wind outside, we would get a flow of cold air (IT was in the early spring) blowing out the downdraft grill on the cooktop, so I needed to prevent the wind draft from blowing into the ducting from outside. I installed the Backdraft Shutter Damper in a 5" metal flexible duct, and it took about 45 minutes from start to finish to complete the job. Now even with the slightest outside breeze the damp shuts and does not allow any draft into the house!

Good Quality- Worked for City Code Inspection Requirement for outdoor Commerical Dryer. Install straight forward with arrows as directed for flow / operation of ducting flapper. Installed with very short sheet metal screws to prevent lint build up inside ducting. Can be installed with hose clamps if non city code requirement.

I had two vents that were banging very loudly when it was a windy day. My vent for the hood over my stove was 5" and the other vent (from my dryer) was 4". So, I am glad I purchased both sizes. Don't assume you know the size. Anyways, these work GREAT. I do have a plastic cover that hides them from the outside, but all of that terrible banging has stopped. Occasionally, I will hear them open and close, but they are much quieter due to the rubber seal inside. Great product and builders really need to install these instead of those loud clanging plastic ones! Thank you for a great product!!

Shaft sticks out about 1/16 ea side of insert, so I had to trim flush since the fit is skin tight inside standard vent duct on a mobile home rent trailer. I should have weakened the spring before installing since full power fan struggles to open against spring pressure even AFTER ensuring gaps taped with flashing tape. I should have used Hardcast tape ( gooey alum) since I didn't thoroughly clean the area there. The regular stuff isn't stuck well, but I'm thinking the fan motor is due for retirement. It's been getting louder last couple years, and took it out,cleaning w/oil spa didn't do any noticeable good. Sure it works, but it's noisy and underrated and im sure next renter would rather not have a jank hood motor hollarin all thru din. No sense in half measures ol W.W. right about a lot of stuff xsept his biz model one of many others none ive known ended well in that genre. Anyway, hope u learned at least trim the shaft flush to fit inside duct and cavity needs sealed good if the motor has any chance of opening the check against the spring. I'd weaken the spring if I could groundhog day it, but for now ima order another motor since I'm looking for a top shelf tenant in this turd box and that means minimal janky noises or fixes that look daf. It's a nice turd box tho so i put in air fry oven, bidets, bt showerhead. WM fire sale'd at $10/ea so i see it as cheap turd polish loaded the cart Got back and one tenant lit up big smile 😀 bidet!!yay! Totally worth and still 20 of each in my truck. Trailer park Santa feeling warm n fuzzy except wearing old denim bibs and muddy boots. Proper attire all things considered.

For years my kitchen exhaust was extremely cold Air coming in cold from vent through the 2 car garage about20 feet of 6 inch vent Anyway quick install on flexible and rigid( perfect fit. No cutting or crimping) taped with aluminum tape done! No back draft at all. Thank you makers of this product !

The quality was good, but I believe the sizing is metric - at least I found it VERY VERY VERY hard to install these on a standard 4" hardpipe without bending the pipe.

Product worked as I had hoped. I put these on a bathroom vent that was going too much air from outside.

This product did a good job is helping with the draft.

Muy buen producto, cumple su función a la perfección, sin embargo solo debe utilizarse en horizontal, no apto para usarse verticalmente.

Qualität ist absolut einwandfrei. Öffnet schon auf Stufe 1 meiner Abzugshaube. Ist zwar etwas kleiner als der Rohrinnendurchmesser, dafür passt es aber rein und kann ggf. mit Panzertape ausgeglichen werden. Ich bin damit sehr zufrieden.

Facile à installer, fait le job, reste à voir sur la durée.
