I am using this item to control a Deep Glow underwater fishing light, that lies underwater near my dock. It offers dusk to dawn switching as well as a remote control that extends over a long distance - all for under $15! I have not read the instructions as it is intuitive and simple. It is well constructed and I expect it to last well, even in a corrosive seawater environment. Do yourself a favor and buy one if you need to control any exterior lighting.

This is a heavy duty plug that has been working for us throughout all kinds of weather. I believe that the product is well constructed which leads to the waterproof feature. For the most part remote works great. It can be a bit finick if there is some distance from the plug or a structure between the remote and plug. All in all, we have been very pleased with this product. I have not double check the specs, but I have two heavy gauge drop cords attached.

Works great - will not turn on if you cover the photoelectric "eye" to test. Shade the eye and it will switch on in about 60 seconds.

Fairly easy to set up. It has stopped working once or twice for unclear reasons, but we were always able to reset by unplugging and plugging back in. It would be nice if the cord were a little longer - you really do need a hook or stand for it.

This unit can be changed with remote from tremendous distance from the unit but it can also be changed on the units key pad which is back lit so it’s easy to change day or night.

I replaced the batteries that came with them because neither battery worked. One of the remotes still doesn’t work but the other one does I still can use both devices even though the remotes don’t both to work.

This device was a really great purchase. It survived wind, rain, sun, and snow and still functioned as it should. It was so convenient not having to remember to turn lights on and off. I would highly recommend this product.
