These worked great! Good Quality pivot balls with firm plate attachment. I even welded one of them to another steel track plate and it bonded well.... just like good steel does. One thing though.....these arrived painted Gloss Black...so they're not the galvanized steel look as in the Amazon photo. I mated these up with a Gas Strut: 20 inches in length extended, 12 inches in length compressed, with a pushing force of 10Lbs, purchased on Amazon from Red Hound Auto. I used them to horizontally open a storage area door(and keep it open) above my Workshop bathroom. The actual door probably weighs 75-90 lbs, but don't get confused on the Strut force of only 10 lbs.....as I said, the strut opens the door horizontally, so it's not supporting the weight of the door. The door is about 10 feet above my head and I needed a way to remotely swing the door open, and stay open, while I accessed the storage area with a ladder. I'll get a short video of the mechanism uploaded...I think you'll like this door concept.

Mechanically these seem just fine. I bought them to replace the one on our trailer that I bent. Holes all lined up just right, bolted it right in. The reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because it's clearly a stainless or zinc-plated steel color in the picture, which would be a direct replacement for what I had already, but what was actually delivered was painted black. Not the end of the world, but not exactly what I thought I was ordering. I don't see anything in the description to suggest they are supposed to be painted.

Not chrome as it was on picture. It’s painted black, and works the same. No biggy.

The items in the picture are stamped SPD and silver in color. Then ones shipped to me look like regular metal painted black and not rust resistant. I am using these to replace SPD brackets that are silver and now have a mixed color on my boat that looks a little odd.

Bent when I tried to use for a Murphy bed I just built. The specs given did not give a weight limit but thought they would work. I just reordered a different brand, hopefully they will work. Also, mine were black as well and the photo description was definitely silver. I am very disappointed that I am having to wait AGAIN for a part to come in so I can finish this project.
