Works fine. I purchased this for the purpose of connecting an IEM (in ear monitor) to it, while getting the monitor mix from the sound-guy. The idea of the limiter is so that I don't blow my ears out in case someone turns up the volume. anyway, for OK volume, everything needs to be set to almost minimum - makes it difficult to tweak properly

Noisy, but functional
The thing has a tone of self noise and I'm not very happy with the limiter, but it does work well enough. I decided to end up using an additional compressor/limiter for some extra protection. As a result, if I had bought the additional comp first, I might have gone with another, quieter, amp that didn't have a limiter built-in. Another gripe - the labels on the limiter knob are confusing. I asked Peavey about it and was given a vague response about but I did figure it out. Having said that, it does function as advertised, is small, and is also rackmountable (you can rack 3 of them in the space of a 1U I believe). It also seems to be built rugged enough for show use (at least for us).

power cable not included
It is surprisingly hard to find a headphone amp with a limiter built in. You normally have to go to more expensive "personal monitor" systems, which start at more like $200. It all seems expensive to me if all you want to do is listen to a monitor feed with headphones instead of a floor monitor. Be warned that this item does not include a power adapter. You need to order that separately. If you use the official Peavey power adapter, it will run about $20 plus shipping.

Works great
I bought two of them to work with IEM's - they work great - are solid little well made units. I turned the gate off though - probably going to hurt my ears but I'm hearing everything I want to hear.
