Rio Briati Mozzarella Fresh Bocconcini, 8 oz

As an avid cheese lover and fresh mozzarella snob try this Rio Briati brand. To me is way better than the very common BelGioiso brand that is usually the only choice for fresh mozz in my local grocery stores. To me it is more artisanal, but not as good as specialty store fresh mozzarella. Meaning the taste and texture is good. I would repurchase for sure. Also very good value.

Liked flavor, freshness and consistency of cheese.

I have spent most of my life in the northeast where there are several Italian cheese producers making the best fresh mozzarella. It's hard to find mozzarella where I am now (L.A.) even at the most expensive, "sophisticated" grocers selling locally produced mozzarella.This offering is pretty good. It's a bit salted which is a bit of a disappointment, and the size is bocconcini (about an ounce and a half) with no "Fior di Latte" (the classic name for eight ounce balls) available, but in a pinch it's ok.

These are flavorful and of good texture. Only wish they were smaller for serving "caprese" hors d'oeuvres.

As good as fresh bought mozzarella, better than any other store packaged brand.

I got this because they were out of BelGioioso and wasn't disappointed. About golf-ball size. Will definitely buy again.
