5 stars in the right zip code
This pool cover was an absolute dream in its natural habitat. Soft, flexible, easy to roll, honestly the nicest cover we’ve ever owned. Thermally, it held onto temps like a champ, structurally Arizona still won. We live in Southern Arizona, where the sun rules with an iron fist, and learned an important life lesson: not all beautiful things are meant for the desert. After one season, it bravely surrendered to the UV gods and retired in a dramatic, crackly fashion. If I had known this was going to happen, I would’ve let the kids use it as a science experiment. If you live in a cooler or less sun-intense climate, you’ll love this cover. If you live in Arizona, maybe choose something that has survived space travel. Still giving 5 stars for quality, just know your zip code matters.

Good quality product
I've owned my in-ground pool for 38 years, and had always covered it with the blue bubble covers -- from many different manufacturers. They typically lasted 2-3 years. For my last purchase I ordered the clear color cover. Now, four years later it is still going fine. Another thing I discovered is that the blue covers heat only the surface of the water, while the clear cover heats much deeper. I presume this is because the sun's rays are mostly stopped by the blue cover, but with the clear cover those rays go much deeper into the water with the result being even heat almost all the way to the bottom. As an engineer I realize this is also why the blue covers don't last: They get cooked, while the clear covers don't. Buy the clear cover!

DONT BUY (This product is garbage)
This product is garbage. If I could have given no star for this product I would have. I spent a lot of time reading reviews for this product and others this one offered a 7 year warranty (sounds to good to be true? It is) it also guaranteed that it would stand up to the UV rays, (which is exactly what I was looking for already knowing our sun is very harsh on things) so after hours & hours of reserch I went with this product because of the amazing warranty. Well DON'T be FOOLED like we were. In the description it talks about if you need to cut to resize to fit your pool don't worry it will still be covered under warranty but it says nothing about needing to take pictures if product doesn't hold up like they say. Ours stared falling apart after just a couple of months use at first the bubbles starting falling into the water so we were having to net them trying to keep them from going into the filter then the whole thing starting getting brittle. Mind you we did not cover the pool every day because we didn't need it on the warm days (and most of our summer is warm) so it stayed rolled up out of the water. When we were putting the pool up for the season that is when we realized how bad this solar cover really was definitley not able to use again and had to throw it straight into the trash. Once I finally got ahold of the selling company she told me they needed pictures before they can determine if they will replace the product and then she started making comments like some consumers don't take care of their product like putting in to much chemicals when I assured her that my husband tested our water often and knows what he is doing with the chemicals and has for years (now I am thinking they are going to just find me at fault no matter what). I then asked if I could get a refund because I would not want to go through all that trouble again with a product that just falls apart and causes me extra work they said the most they could do is ship me another one. I told her no thank you it is garbage they are selling. I very rarely complain about what I buy if it doesn't work but I don't want to see someone else waist their money or time on this product I also don't see how others gave more than 1 star unless they reviewed within a couple of weeks after using this product. Sorry I don't have photos to attach it was falling apart so bad we put it straight into the garbage can and didn't think to take any photos. AGAIN SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME.

Retains heat during chilly nights, durability not the best, reduces chemical use
Here's a few quick thoughts on this cover after almost 2 yrs using it. This will probably be my last year being able to use it. Pros: Does retain pool temps, especially early and later in the season when nights are cool. Relatively cheap No issues with winds, we've had 80mph winds. Cons: Durability - this will probably be the last year. Bubbles are falling off, rips, and discoloration I wouldn't really expect this to really raise your temps unless you have full sun possibly. I didn't really experience that Thoughts: Go into this knowing the price you pay and have realistic expectations on durability. We keep our pool at 88, as kids won't get in it below that. They are spoiled for sure. I use this during the entire season for 2 reasons. First it does help retain the pool temp especially during early months of April, May, and part of June as well as September and October. Second, it helps keep my pool cleaner, not clean, but cleaner, and helps reduce chemical use. I I have an irregular shaped pool and had no issues cutting it. I also use a solar cover reel and that helps keep it in shape. I'm now mostly through season 2 and a lot more of the bubbles are falling off, getting rips and discoloration. I don't expect it to last through the winter. It stays outside on the reel, but with a cover over it. I keep my chlorine under 5ppm but it still takes a toll on this cover. I also keep it under a UV cover when it's on the solar cover reel not being used. I'm in the fence if I'd buy this one or another brand. I feel it helped for sure, just wish I got 4 yrs from it.

More Than Just a Good Cover... A Trustworthy Company
We purchased this pool cover and found it to be well-made, durable, and fairly priced. It’s performed exactly as expected. What truly stood out, though, was the company behind it. They were responsive, easy to reach, and thoughtful in addressing our questions. In our case, they went above and beyond to offer support, even when they were not obligated to do so. That level of integrity and commitment to their customers is rare and genuinely appreciated. We would confidently recommend both the product and the company, and would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

Very Happy Customer! Multiple Benefits!
We live in Southwest Florida, Gulf Coast. We recently experienced a cold snap early in the season. During that time I turned off the pool heat until the cover arrived. Not only were we just wasting money trying to heat the pool, only for it to drop several degrees at night, but we were also losing a tremendous amount of water to evaporation. I was beginning to think maybe we had a pool leak. The cover arrived yesterday, and we trimmed it to size, which I will be honest is no easy task. We ordered a 15 by 30 which was enough to do the pool and spa. As soon as I took it out of the package I was really impressed with the heavy duty quality that this liner seems to be. We laid it out over the pool and my husband trimmed it with a very sharp pair of scissors. I think we ordered a little too big. Oh well, I'm sure I can find a use for all the excess. Last night was the first true test. I took pictures of where the water levels were at as soon as the system shutdown and none of the water was circulating. I also made a note of what the water temperature was. This morning when I woke up the first thing I did was check on the pool. We have lost no water, or very minimal lost that it's not even noticeable. I'm happy just with that. It can be very expensive having to put the hose in the pool every couple days. The water also maintained the Heat. I won't know what the actual temperature is until the system comes on, but if anything it only lost maybe one or two degrees. If that. Im excited to see how warm the cover alone will get the water using the power of the sun and not FPL! I have read the other reviews stating that they do not last long. My husband has worked in the pool industry for over 20 years. We knew that before going into this. We also know the Florida sun takes an extreme toll on anything that sits out in it. I would love it if it lasts a few seasons. I'm not sure if we will be using this year round or not. If I use it during the summer it is strictly to control evaporation water loss. I will say that spending $100 on this to maintain the Heat and water levels is far cheaper then constantly filling it with the hose and having the heater run Non-Stop. Even if I do only get one season out of it. As of right now, I am very happy with this cover. If things change and I notice any problems I will be happy to update this review.

Excellent for a year or two
Model & Price I bought the blue 1600 series model of this cover (20'x40'; $260) in Oct. of 2022. Trimming to Form-fit My pool is irregularly shaped ("kidney shaped and about 18'x35'), so I trimmed the rectangle to fit the pool shape perfectly. That was surprisingly easy using a good pair of kitchen scissors. Useage I did not use it in the summer of 2023 because the pool water would be too warm. During the summer months the cover was stored in a cool shed. I mention that because the solar radiation is more than 5x in summer vs winter due to longer days, more direct sunlight, and less cloud cover (this is the Inland Empire of Southern California). This matters for this review because it is the solar radiation that wears the cover out. I did not use the cover during the period of greatest solar wear. So, currently the cover has been in use about 17 months during fall, winter, and spring seasons the past two years. The cover is effective for increasing the water temperature by 5-7 degrees in fall and spring, but only a couple of degrees during winter. It is also easy to take on and off, and I did 3-4 times a week during the months I used it (I aspire to swim laps year-around), so it has been on and off close to 200 times. I just drag it to the side enough so there is a clean lane to lap swim, and do not fully remove it from the pool. Durability This is my only serious complaint, but a significant one due to its correspondence with value. The cover comes with a 7-year warranty, but as others have stated, that is nearly impossible to utilize. After a year of use the cover began to tear as I took it in on and off despite me being very careful how I handed it, not to tug hard, and to use two hands, etc. Because of my carefulness, the tears are small, up to a foot in a few locations. An equally problematic issue is the "bubbles" on the underside began to spontaneously fall off after about a year. I noticed them floating in the pool and caught in the pool skimmer. I estimate to date about 10% have fallen off. That might not sound bad, but with almost four bubbles per square inch, the cover has about 400,000 bubbles, so 10% is about 40,000!! This is not as big of a problem as one might expect, as these little blue pieces of plastic float and typically make their way to the skimmer where they are manually discarded with other skimmer debris. However, the bubbles are critical for thermal retention, so the effectiveness of the cover is compromised. Based on the wear and tear I have currently experienced, I am hopeful I can finesse the cover through a third fall, winter, spring cycle (recall I take it off during summer). In summary, the durability is disappointing, especially given the warrantee suggests users can expect full functionality for 7 or more years.

Seems premium.
End of day 2. Feels premium and has a decent 10 year warranty with covered percentage tapering over the course, but the first few years are fully covered. Overnight it’s cut the losses to 0.134f per hour, so about 1.1f lost In my windy part of SoCal. Normal loss at this time of year would be about ~4f. During the day it’s gaining at 0.28f per hour or 3.6f per day but it’s only March and I added cold water both days I’ve had it on to get the level up. I cut it to shape for my kidney shaped pool to get it lay flat and not blow off, was reasonably easy. It doesn’t feel like it will turn to plastic confetti as quickly as the last one but SoCal sun and salt water are harsh.
