Hi, the foam for the pro controller is just the right size. If you have two joy con grips, you can put one in the compartment, but not very snug. Hope this helps.

Not sure if you mean in the luggage hold or onboard as hand luggage. The case is firm and sturdy and the foam insert fits very snugly around the Switch & accessories, so they can't move around, so I think it would give pretty good protection. The case itself is smaller than the max size for hand luggage, and since the restrictions on bringing electronic devices on planes was lifted last year, there shouldn't be an issue with taking it onboard with you. Just remember to charge it before you go, so you can demonstrate it if asked when you go through security, and if you're going to play with it during the flight, ensure its in airplane mode. :)
