Come Away

This is some excellent music. However I can't give an amazing review as my disc was previously owned and shipped with scuffs and scratches that affect random areas of the disc. There are a few songs that are clear but most are choppy and really annoying to try to listen to. I just had bad luck on my purchase....maybe you'll do better. Used discs are a crap shoot...good luck!

Well, I bought this album on a whim when I was looking for some other Christian music and this one popped up as a "similar" item. I had listened to snippets of the songs and they sounded pretty good. Now that I actually have the CD and have listened a few times, I totally love it. I think every song is excellent and when I can just sit back, close my eyes and sing, each one takes me away into that place of worship that is hard to describe. This was just the CD that I needed to help me get closer to God. I really can't say enough about how much I like this CD. The songs are all long and sometimes repetitive, but do not feel long or repetitive to me. This does not detract from them in any way because they pull me in with emotion and heartfelt worship, and they just flow smoothly....I am often disappointed when they do end. This right now is my absolute favorite CD and the DVD is a nice bonus as well.If your heart is searching for more in your worship times, I would highly recommend this CD. If you want to get closer to God, I would highly recommend this CD. If you just want to hear very good music, I would highly recommend this CD. Get it....you will not regret it.

I stumbled on to Jesus culture a couple months ago when I head a song by one of the contributing artists on XM radio. I thought the music was decent and so I tried finding the artist online. I stumbled on to the song "how he loves" which Jesus Culture performed live, and was recorded in video. After watching the video, and moved by the spirit, this work grabbed me. It was amazing, so I started looking into the work they had done. So far as of now I have purchased all their albums and this one is certainly amazing. Most of there stuff is. I think I would have done one thing differently, I would have bought all of them as hard copies with the dvd instead of as downloads, Because when I bought this one as a pre-order it came with the dvd and I fell in love with it. To watch these guys praise God on the video, it makes my heart long to be there experiencing it live. These guys have altered the way I look at worship. It's foundational truth message, brought with a more prophetic style worship is simply unbeatable. It makes me feel renewed each time I listen to them. I would definitely recommend this album and their others, with my least favorite being their album titled everything. Even that album has some good stuff on it but it's a little rough (recording wise). If you love good worship music than this is it. Plain and simple!

I want to say that I listened to Kim Walker Smith story of how she experience the presence of God, " Its a beautiful story I'm glad you shared it with the world". I Love the whole music box thing and how God gets so happy when he hears you singing. Well he blessed you with this great beautiful voice, that I for one Love so much. I listen to this cd and many other ones there all Excellent. I love Jesus Culture Music. Chris Quilala you also are sooooooooooo... Blessed and so talented Come Away blew me away I love that song. I want to say keep up the great work you are a great worship group and just so you know you are touching a lot of people. The band is also very talented they have great music skills. I HOPE you will come to NEW YORK again soon I missed getting tickets to FEB 3 show. ;( but I will keep an eye out for next tour. God Bless YOU and THANK YOU for your great music.

What can one say to adequately describe the awesome music as performed by the Jesus Culture band. This is one of my all time favorite CD's - lovely prophetic voices and music. I have played it over and over and allowed the music to enter my soul even as I was ministered to spiritually through the power and felt presence of God. As Chris Quilala plays the guitar and sings the words - "Come away with me, It's never too late... I have a plan for you... It's gonna be wild... it's gonna be great... it's gonna be full of me... open up your hearts and let me in..." - the listener just knows the truth of those words. Encouraging music for a weary soul.

In the past I have had the reputation of being the person who is in the know about Christian music. Somehow Jesus Culture escaped my notice until two different Facebook friends posted about them in one day. Once I watched just one video, I knew I had to have one of their cd's. To my surprise Come Away included a CD and a DVD that showcased a nearly two hour worship service. My husband and I watched the video the night our order arrived and were blown away. We have been hungry to experience this kind of worship again. I just can't say enough good things about this worship band and have now ordered three more of their CD sets. They are all just as good as this one. If you are craving a powerful worship experience that is more than just lip service, Come Away is the CD for you.

To classify this in a category would be unfair, although there are Brit-Pop influenced sounds (U2, Coldplay, Hillsong). The group has the heart of God to seek Him and make His name known everywhere. I wasn't so big into their music, just a few songs here and there, until just recently. I've been growing in greater and deeper levels of intimacy with God while worshipping or just listening to their music. The lyrics and rhythms may not be complex like some hymns or even contemporary gospel music, but God's love and joy emanates greatly from the artists. They sing TO the Lord, not just about Him. That's another reason I love their music. I recommend you buy this and other albums from Jesus Culture if these are the qualities you seek in worship music.

I actually bought this album for someone else so I've not heard it all the way through but I like what I've heard and reckon that several of the songs have the potential to be used in a wider context. Kim Walker-Smith has an excellent voice: accurate and clear but with a harsh edge at times to give it some character. She has good control at both low and high volume and sings with depth and passion.One of the plus points is that you get a DVD as well as a CD in this package - excellent value! Having said that, I found that the DVD rather detracted from the positive impact of the actual music. "Jesus Culture" is a band that sings worship songs but the whole context is very much that of a performance. In particular, for me at least, Kim Walker-Smith's appearance was totally at odds with what she was singing about. But hey! I'm old enough to remember people complaining about Larry Norman's appearance in the Sixties so what do I know?What is clear on the DVD is how much the audience identifies with the band and what the musicians are doing. It's a great atmosphere and it's good that people enjoy their worship so much but I guess I'm still old enough to feel queasy about the end result. I couldn't help feeling that everyone was there to worship "Jesus Culture" rather than Jesus Christ.

Well musically speaking Jesus Culture are great. Love there restrained guitar riffs and precise musicianship. Not everybody is going to like them, There's always a small hardcore of people who are going to say they are all about performance and little to do with worship. I'll leave that decision up to the individual. But personally I love them. Kim Walker Smiths voice is sublime and really knows how to "get into the presence of God" Chris Quilaila is also good and there are some stonking songs. Personally speaking they have helped me to get closer to God and lift depression. Hey! that can't be a bad thing. Enjoy this!!.

Being part of the young generation, I'm not a fan of old fashioned medievil Christian hymns you read from a book in an old church. As for modern Christian music is concerned this album is fantastic. Some modern stuff can be a little depressing sometimes, but not this album. It is really uplifting and inspiring, and is great for both worship and just listening as you would any other music album. The musicians put so much passion into both their life with Christ and their musical talent. No matter how down I feel, this album always cheers me up, and puts me in an ecstasy of faith and love for God. It borders on Christian Rock so is definitely a good album for young Christians to start with.

I've just heard about Jesus Culture few weeks ago and it was through this fabulous CD. I then bought it as soon as I could and I'm not regretted and inspired me to buy the rest of their CDs. Passion comes to me as soon as I turn it on and I even I leave it on overnight when I sleep. So inspiring worship songs and I can't fail it by anyway. It comes with another CD ( DVD ) and so beautiful cover which make you so happy to own a great piece of work like this and add it to your Christian music collection. Get it if you want feel that you're so close to the Lord. It takes so high and inspire you to read the Bible, pray and cry highly to God. So different feeling and if you're a Christian, this's the perfect worship songs for you. It arrived in secure envelope and new as it said. I HIGHLY recommend you to get your own copy!

What can I say. Jesus Culture really give you a truly heavenly experience with their music. The lyrics are fantastic and make you feel closer to God. If you are having a bad day this cd reminds you of how loving God is and how he is around us and there in our struggles.
