It came with a charging cable that is used in overseas power systems, such as Europe. 220 Volt 50 cycles. If you have a foreign adapter you can use it in the US but its not convenient. The description should include that the lights come with a type C plug, otherwise, its implied it can be used in the US which it cannot without the correct C adapter. However it can be charged using its solar panel on the top of the unit. I have not tested to see how long the solar panel takes to recharge the unit.

Good piece of gear to have around the house or on camping trips. I would not recommend it for backpacking due to it's size. Was much bigger than expected, but that is on me for not reading the description, however I would not advertise it for backpacking. The charging cable is not American, but it does work in an American outlet. I would recommend researching if it is safe to charge that way though. The flash light is fairly bright and the latter mode disperses light well. the handles have clips they snap into when they are in the collapsed position, however one of the clips came broken, and as they are made out of the same cheap plastic, they don't look like they will last long. I took mine out into quite the downpour for about 20 minutes and the light maintained it's brightness. I had light plugged in to charge it. No light comes on when I pull it up. The flashlight function works but the lantern function does not. Very disappointedUPDATENEVER USED (PURHASED FOR EMERGENCY USE) … DOES NOT WORK AT ALL !!!!WASTE OF MONEY

I need lantern for kids to go camping and also for emergency times such as blackouts. These lanterns are just the right size for kids. about 5 inch tall and 2 inch white. Very bright. It also comes with a recharging cable for its rechargeable battery. It serves the purpose well.

Made of a very cheap plastic. One of them broke within the first 24 hours.
