Nice ant farm. Wider than most

5 year old Granddaughter loved this for her birthday present . She is really interested in wildlife and creepy crawlies in particular . She couldn’t wait to set it up . I bought her a book to go with it about starting off an ant farm . Thrilled five year old . Just need to purchase the queen to get started .

Lovely exciting protected kids. Well it was until my wife thought it would be a good ideas to feed the ants a banana which smeared the screen forever.

Was easy to set up. Ants lasted a while! Great for small children to watch how ants work!

Brought for my son’s birthday. The air holes are too big for UK ants and unfortunately he tore the box opening it so I can’t return it. The sand material is also not suitable for keeping ants long term.

The holes at the top are top big, just caught an ant outside of the farm!

Bought as a birthday present and when we came to order the ants it says that they can only be ordered if you live in the USA. Went online to see if you could buy the ants elsewhere separately and they were over £50! Not sure if you can use normal garden ants but the information says you need harvester ants. Had to return will order the cheaper one that’s UK based

Great ant farm! Ordered this last minute because I had purchased too many harvester ants for my sons’ sets that they received for Christmas which contained the blue gel. The ants definitely prefer this sand ant farm (or found it easier to tunnel) and my kids constantly comment about how cool this one looks as compared to their more expensive gel set. Did not come with the ants (but I think has an option to order) but was definitely worth it for the price and size! My kids are always excited to check their progress and comment every day how awesome this farm is. This picture is just after a few days! Would recommend for great family project and observation fun!

Mein Sohn ist begeistert. Er guckt jeden Tag nach was die Ameisen neu gebaut haben. Auch für Erwachsene sehr interessant zu beobachten. Der Aufbau geht schnell. Die Ameisen sind NICHT im Lieferumfang enthalten, auf dem Karton ist jedoch ein Hinweis, wo man sich kostenfreie bestellen kann. Die Lieferung dauert dann wohl bis zu 5 Wochen. Wir haben die Ameisen bereits vorher separat bestellt, sodass alles beim Aufbau vorhanden war.

The product was well made and included the sand which was a bonus. It also has holes which allows you to add more farms to it as the colony grows. My daughter loves it as it gives you a great view of the colony as it expands.
