The best aftermarket snes controller I've used.
I will update this review later to represent my views after I have used the product for a longer period of time.I'm using a friends account to review/order this. Hi names Colin.I own a SuperRetroTrio.I do not own any of the Retron Line of clone consoles. This controller is made for Retrons and original snes consoles.I used to own a YoboFC3.The CirKa S91 Is a good controller. The S91 feels Solid as a rock. It feels like a proper snes controller.I've handled many Clone controllers. If you have ever owned a Yobo or a Retrobit you should know most of the controllers feel thin and hollow. If you were to squeeze one hard enough you could probably destroy it.The S91 doesn't feel cheap the plastic is solid and smooth. The version I purchased was for a snes hookup. I purchased it for me SuperRetroTrio. The Buttons work well and seem to be very responsive. The feeling is nice and isn't cheap once again it's a tight well made controller. The "Gamefeel" is there. It feels proper. The start and select buttons are even rubber.I am giving this controller 4 stars. If you need a new SNES controller buy this. Unless you still have your old ones.I can't give this a five though. Reason being is it was not compatible with the SuperRetroTrio NES and SEGA compatibility.I've owned two clone consoles in my time because I cannot afford to purchase the singular consoles alone and the SuperRetroTrio was far more cost effective. I have my YoboFC3 for nearly 6 years and the controllers didn't die till maybe 5 years in.When I would boot a NES, or Genesis/Megadrive game. the controller would not work. I believe this may have something to do with the console. Possibly only Retrobit brand controllers work with this function. Or Maybe the CIRKA controllers only work for their respective consoles. The Pre-packed retrobit controllers work for all 3 consoles. They use the sega game port. But have recently been giving me trouble and have stopped working properly only certain controller functions seem to work now. This is from Light play. I rarely got to play my SuperRetroTrio due to moving my house around when I purchased it. The prepacked controllers for the RetroTrio are of low quality though. As they still do not properly work for me after less than 24 hours of gameplay. If you have a Retron console maybe these will work better. But hey atleast I can play my snes games. I'll just need a proper Sega and NES controller now.Still it's a good controller. I'd recommend this to a friend if they needed a snes controller for snes games.

Next best thing to the OEM Controller
As far as clone controllers go, this is probably one of the best in a long time. I have been using it for a while now as a substitute for my OEM controllers, which are still in great condition after 20+ years and want to keep them that way. This controller feels almost the same as the real SNES controller....Almost. I played several of my favorite games like Star Fox, Killer Instinct, Chrono Trigger and Legend of Zelda and it handled them all perfectly. However, one small problem I ran into occasionally was when playing Super Mario Allstars, I would try to run and duck to slide under low blocks, which is something I have done a million times since I was a kid, but with this controller Mario would sometimes stand back up which ruined the slide. I noticed if I didn’t push down hard on the D-Pad I wouldn’t have this problem. Just to make sure it wasn't the game or console, I swapped to an original controller and was able to pull the slide off perfectly so I'm sure it was the controller. Like I said, I didn’t notice this problem in star fox and was able to play all the way through it without any problems other than my rusty skills. As far as the build quality goes, the buttons all feel good and the controller has the same feel as the original. The D-Pad feel pretty good and is almost as good as the original controller's D-Pad. The face buttons also feel solid and are responsive to presses but feel more clicky than the original, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The color of the controller is also just a tad off to the original as can be seen in the pictures. Overall, this is a pretty good clone, and if you don't want to pay more for a used controller this will certainly give you what you need. It's just not as good as the original, but since those aren’t being made new anymore it's the next best thing.

As close as you can get to the real thing
I researched this particular controller a lot before buying it and frkmwhat I read this was the closest and best version of a SNES controller as opposed to the real thing and they were right. The controller works just as good as the original and feels the same too. The start and select buttons are rubber like the original and the others plastic like the original. D pad works fine, I’m not sure what the other complaints are about in the other reviews of this product. Maybe they got a faulty version? A defective one? The only problem I have with this one is that it’s hard to get in and out of the console. You REALLY got to push it in there. Definitely worth the price. I think I should mention though, one time I had both my original controller plugged into port one and this co troller plugged into port 2 and started up Donkey Kong Country 2. A message came up saying something like this game or system does not support unlicensed products, but I just shut the game off, unplugged the Cirka controller from port 2, plugged it back in, started the game up again and then it worked fine and hasn’t done that ever since. Me and my son play Turtles In Time with it all the time and it works great. I give it 4/5 stars just because it’s very stiff getting it in and out of the SNES.

Finally an excellent 3rd party SNES controller
I spent a lot of time on Amazon trying to find the best 3rd party SNES controller. I believe this is the best one that I've tested, the controller is very faithful to the official one. I played probably about 4 months worth on this controller most of that being on Megaman X and it works great, the D-Pad is perfect and I've noticed with other 3rd party controllers that if you push down on the center of the D-Pad it would register as a left or right where this controller it does nothing so it's very accurate. You will not regret purchasing this controller. My only issue with this Cirka controller is that its very light but that is an extremely minor con.

This Controller Fits Well on my SNES Console the Buttons and DPad are identical to the original Controller quality is Good unlike the cheap Chinese ones these are made of good Materials I suggest you should buy this version only The other Famicom style ones available for the same name are unusable in my console.

Got this for a course since cheaper than an official controller (works and wired the same inside)
Purchase this for a course I was enrolled in where we had to program a game that ran on a Raspberry Pi using the official SNES controller for input but we were limited in terms of lab time, so I ended up purchasing this as a cheaper alternative to have my own personal setup and it worked flawlessly (online documentation regarding the wiring and software interface for the official controller also ended up working with this one).

Impossible to make an exact copy of the original Super Nintendo controller
Impossible to make an exact copy of the original Super Nintendo controller. This is probably the best third party controller that I have bought. Most of them are absolute garbage. This one is worth buying and is cheaper than finding an original that's over 20 years old and you don't know how much life is left in it. I have tested it both on my Retron 5 and my Original Super Nintendo and it works great on both consoles!

decent snes controller replacement
I give it a 7.5/10.... the plastic feels cheep... it looks cheap.. but the buttons feel good and stiff and the dpad is nice... the L/R feel cheap tho... for the price its really good value, I bought it because I was sick of buying high prices original controllers off ebay that claim to be A+ like new only to get them and be disappointed.
