Jim River Gear Lucky 7 Extreme Heavy Duty Fish Stringer

I must say after two years in brackish and saltwater , not one sign of rust anywhere. The loop knot is very ideal to quickly tie it off before heading out in my kayak. The spacing is almost perfect , a inch more would be better IMO. I DO NOT put the stringer through the gill plates. I sharpened the ends of the hooks a bit on a grinder. Then I poke through the bottom jaw of the fish and I make sure the 45 degree angle wire is facing towards the fishes face , then they all just sit there and swim , one above the other , all day long with no issues. If you go through the gill plate , it keeps them from get oxygen correctly and they could die , prematurely. About 30 minutes before I get back to the dock , I cut two gills on each side , then the fish slowly bleed out as I'm heading back in and when I fillet them , the meat is super white. This is by far , the most well thought out , and most durable stringer on the market. I'm buying a second one for my son to use next week , right now.Update : I been using this for 5 years now , still zero rust. Its never failed me. Probably hands down the best piece of fishing equipment I have ever purchased. I really got to commend the guy making this , sad he chose not to make it anymore. This is one really high quality piece of gear.

Well built product. The snaps and swivels are nice and heavy duty. The snaps are big enough to hold big pike, 30 plus inches, with ease. They're easy to open and close and they hold securely.I love the reflective paracord. I woulda lost it the other night while out catfishing along the Jim river if it hadn't been for the reflective paracord.

This is the highest quality stainless steel stringer available. I use mine in saltwater for kayak fishing. Good luck trying to find a better one for saltwater.Update: It's been over a year and not one sign of rust.

Lightweight but strong and easy to use. Perfect stringer for both fresh water (bass and panfish) and saltwater (trout, flounder and redfish) fishing from my kayak.

This looked like a good quality stringer, but the first time I used it, my 10 pound catfish escaped. Did better than my last stringer, but I will find a better solution for the larger fish.

I absolutely love this product. Very strong for those big fish. Striped, large and small mouth bass and catfish. A must have for the tackle box.

Don’t let your monster fish escape a cheap stringer. This one will last you and do the job!
