Pretty basic book.
It was kinda basic stuff. But there was still things to be learned. If you’re new to electricity and RVs, you’ll do well with this book. I’ve been around “juice” most of my life, and I should have read the description closer. Still good info!

Good Read for All
Plain enough to understand without technical mumbo jumbo! I highly recommend this book for the beginner and the seasoned RVer.

5 STARS!! This book is very informative!
Just a sample: "... the voltage (pressure) we use in the USA is rated at 120 volts, give or take 5% according to the National Electrical Code. That means it could vary from a low of 114 volts to a high of 126 volts, and still be within code. From a realistic standpoint though, it’s more likely to be as much as 8% low, so a 110-volt measurement is pretty common.""Electrical appliances are genereally designed to run perfectly fine on anything from 105 volts to 130 volts or so. And 99.9% of the time that’s what you’re feeding them from the power line. But you can have under-voltage (brownouts) or over-voltage (broken neutral) conditions at a campground where this sustained voltage can go below 90 volts or above 150 volts. These are not voltage “surges,” so a so-called surge strip will do nothing to stop them from getting into your coach."Who knew? I didn't, and I've found that most of my RVing friends know little or nothing about RV electrical issues either. :(I am very happy that I bought and studied this awesome book.Thank you very much J Michael Sokol!

Clearly written, easy reading and informative.
This book will be in my reference library for years. The knowledge you gain from what feels like a casual read is priceless. You'll find yourself testing every outlet in your house and RV. I found one in my RV with an open ground condition that's at the top of my fix it list.

A MUST-HAVE for RV owners
Think you know about electricity? Do you feel safe because you have a RIVA certified RV? Do you expect that simply avoiding adapters and only using the power cord that came with the rig will keep you safe from electrocution? Well guess again... it's a dangerous world out there. Campgrounds may have faulty wiring. Nature can kill you or melt your electrical and electronic equipment. There's only one way to protect yourself... get smart. Learn how electricity works. understand how to test that your RV isn't in danger from unexpected electrical issues. This book can save your life.It is written in easy to understand language with lots of diagrams to make this information easy to learn. Each chapter reinforces the most important issues and practices with the RVer in mind. If I had to choose between having this book or a spare tire with me on a trip, I'de take the book. It can save my life. The tire will just save me time.
