Still Relevant!
I needed a CD/DVD drive to access my library of data CDs because my new pc lacks the drive (picture shows another CPU). Convenient and compact, I can put it away when not in use. Not only is this drive compact, but it stores its own USB cable so you don't have to look for one when setting up. The drive came "plug-n-play" with no driver issues, it was great! I remember the old days... Burned some CDs and DVDs with no issues. So happy to have been able to get this at a great price.

Great value!
When I started searching for an external CD/DVD drive --I overlooked this item because of it's low price. I read a lot of reviews but kept coming back to this drive. Well, I decided to take a chance and purchase it. And I am happy to report the drive works really well! I can play MP4s and open PDF's without any errors (thus far).Don't overlook something because the price is low. Sometimes take a chance and you might be pleasantly surprised. I would recommend this if you are in the market for an external CD/DVD drive! Excellent product!

Not made of titanium
It's cheap and it works. It performed as expected. Installed trivially. Read older CDs written by who-knows-what hardware or software. That's what I wanted.

I love the price and the formfactor. I love that it reads CDs and DVDs. That's pretty much it. It didn't cost much, and it does its job. Good product, if you need one.

Cheap garbage, doesn’t work with a brand new laptop...
I plugged it in to a brand new HP windows 10 laptop. PC found the device, put in a standard DVD (Crusty Demons of Dirt) non blu ray. Would not play correctly. Downloaded different DVD player software to try and make use of it but had no luck. You get what you pay for...

Reads discs, won't write to CD-R
Does half the job for me. I needed a CD writable drive, but this won't recognize any of the major brand cd-r's that I have, rendering this almost useless. Some brand new discs it sees as having data and won't write. I wasted $20 because I need to buy another brand drive

A must product if you have laptops that don't have CD players built in
Lightweight, portable and very easy to use. A must if you have a laptop that doesn't have a cd player. No problems at all with the product and has been quite helpful. Thanks

Happy with external drive
Works great as an external drive for a laptop lacking one. It is not something you need everyday but when you need one you need one.
