Functionl peeler, great customer service.
7aug15. In response to an update of this review which seems to be missing, (my peeler blade broke), AB contacted me and offered to send me a new peeler, also AB pointed out that the peeler is not intended for citrus. So... I was misusing the product and it broke, seller was willing to replace anyway, seems pretty standup. (Btw I declined the replacement, I pretty much only peel citrus and seems like I would only be taking the replacement to experience the same issue; I nor the seller need this)I don't have anything to compare this to, but it's not what I expected. Not saying there is any issue with the peeler, I think it is what I am peeling. Bought this to peel citrus, and the first day I peeled both of my thumbs and pinky fingers. As I sat and contemplated the pain in my fingers, I came to the conclusion there must be a technique. Over the last week a technique I've developed is to wiggle the peeler from side to side as you are pulling it "down" the citrus and allows time to move your thumb and pinky. Makes wonderful long cuts of citrus zest with very little pith. So yea, I guess it's the best Ceramic peeler ever.

Peels VERY thick pieces of your vegetable
I expected this to be comparable to the metal bladed peeler I bought at the grocery store. Unfortunately it is not. The quality and feel look acceptable and I suppose the ceramic blade is excellent and will always stay sharp. The problem is how much of the vegetable this things peels off. The peels from a carrot are at least twice as thick as my metal peeler. When I try to go as fast as my metal peeler the things skips and pulls chunks fro the carrot. My career ends up looking like a crinkle cut french fry.I see so many great reviews, but I just can't give this item a great review myself because of the thickness of the vegetable peel it removes.

Great product, just not my style...
It's a personal preference. My wife likes it very much. I preferย Super Peelers - Triple Your Peeling Speed - Ultra Sharp Stainless Steel Double-edged Blades - Sharp Y Shaped Potato Peeler & Vegetable Peeler - Set of 2 The peeler blade is sharp and does a great job.

Disappointing
Unfortunately, not as good as the one I have had for 50 years! I am convinced that I have the one and only best peeler in the world!!

Don't know how others peel apples but this is not ...
Don't know how others peel apples but this is not much of an improvement over a $2 peeler we've had for ages.

Perfect Peeler!
I admit I had my doubts - I have been using my mother's peeler for years (and years and years) which I loved and then during pie season (around Oct/Nov) it went missing. I must have tossed it with a pile of apple peel....never thought I'd find another like it. They just don't make them like that anymore. So I tried a few and they were awful. I cut more of my fingers than of apples. So I thought to try ceramic. Can't get any worse....well...it's the little things that make life worth living. Like making homemade apple pie with this amazing ceramic peeler! Peels like a dream. I have to use a smidge more pressure while peeling than I did with my mom's old peeler but after a few peels I got the hang of it and this peeler is excellent!! Tired of peeling your fingers? Try this you won't regret it!

Disappointed
My previous ceramic peeler broke after many years, so I purchased this one to replace it. I just attempted to peel carrots with this peeler and was disappointed that it did not easily peel the carrots. I tried a few different techniques, but it was taking chunks out of the carrots no matter what I did. Maybe I just need to get my technique down, but honestly I've used several different types of peelers and none of them have had a learning curve so I'm a bit disappointed that this one couldn't do exactly what it is designed for.

THIS is the one!
I have used the ceramic-type peelers for years. Last week, the one I had broke and I went to a couple of stores to find a replacement. I was not successful, so I ended up buying one at Walmart made by KitchenAid that had stainless steel blades instead of ceramic. I figured with the KitchenAid name, I couldn't go wrong. How disappointing! I couldn't even get through one cucumber without digging out the old style metal peeler. (You know the one....the one your grandma used!) So then I checked here and saw this one and ordered it. It came today....... and I used it today. Very, VERY nice. Went through a stack of cucumbers I had in a snap. Well made, easy in the hand and quite attractive for a simple peeler. GET THIS ONE!!
