Stunning Debut LP
Like many others, I discovered these guys after watching "Later With Jools Holland". I decided to take a punt and try out the CD. It hasn't proved to be a disappointment - not a weak track on it. The incendiary "Blues Hand Me Down" and the more slow burning "Run Outta You" are like bookends to the disc, more rock oriented - Nalle pinching more than a couple of Jimmy Page guitar phrases and licks. There are slower more soulful tracks and tracks such as "Still And Always Will" along with "You Better Believe It" which are great call and response songs at a gig.The whole act is undeniably retro, without once having the feel of it being a pastiche. The songs are all fresh, vibrant and sounding like nobody else on the scene at the moment. They call the music Rock'n'Soul, who am I to disagree? It is the soundtrack to a great Saturday night out at that little club down the road, where you're always guaranteed a great night out

Undeniable Live Act; Album Does Not Disappoint
I'm generally not into "retro" type bands or anyone who is trying to revive the music of a bygone era. The first time I saw VT, though, I was knocked on my ass by the sheer will and determination of this quartet to get everyone in the room to share their joy. The band was tight but loose (think Humble Pie or Free); the singer (James Brown by way of Terrence Trent D'Arby?) was polished but spontaneous. The performance was undeniable and the energy was infectious. Saw them again at a bigger venue (opening for the Cranberries, of all people) and they managed to do it again. Sweat, soul, grooves and charisma just oozes from the stage. Can't recommend this live band enough.Of course, I knew that listening to their record at home would be a different story. So often, bands like this don't capture their onstage magic in the studio. But I've been pleasantly surprised to find that the band's passion and energy has indeed imbued this LP; the songs, while certainly not ground-breaking, have a life and identity of their own, thanks to the sincerity and pathos the band infuse into the proceedings. High quality songwriting and absolutely expert execution. Just buy it.

What an amazing choice. This band has it all
I saw these guys open for ACDC and after three songs, I told my wife I needed to pick up a CD. What an amazing choice. This band has it all. Great hooks, soul and a great live show. I was there for ONE thing. And it was a different band, but this band put on such a solid show, such a tremendous performance, that it was impossible not to be blown away. I listen to the songs at work and I can still picture them performing those songs on stage. That's what a memorable artist is. Someone who you literally NEVER heard before and whose music and vibe was so phenomenal that it is literally unforgettable. The albums just grow and grow on you. The musicians are amazing and the front man has charisma to burn. I'm a fan.

Rockin', pelvis pushin', exciting fun music!!!!
Saw these guys on Letterman one night and ordered the cd instantly, not disappointed at all! These guys are HOT!!! The music is soulful, energetic and reminiscent of James Brown, Otis Redding, and Led Zeppelin all in one band! If you get the opportunity to see these guys LIVE, GO! They are so incredible "live" they are now opening for The WHO & The ROLLING STONES all this summer! And I don't mean somewhere down the roster, they are top billed! These guys could warm up a funeral convention! Ty Taylor has such a heart wrenching voice and a whirling dance phenom on stage-presence, VT is such a great act to see! Check them out on youtube too... Most people LOVE this cd, Nancy Lee is hot and one of my favorites is Jezzebella, can't get that song out of my head...it's permanently stuck in my cd player by choice! Love their mannerisms, they have a great facebook page for their fans and personally reply, and sign autographs for everyone at their performances. There's just something VERY MAGICAL about these guys, everyone says so!!!! Get this CD NOW!

AWESOME!
I cannot overstate how damned good this is! His band was recommended to me by a great friend, who knows my musical wheelhouse, and this is IT! I love these guys! Their energy pulses through the speakers, and I can hardly sit still. I have my favorites, and I do generally prefer the upbeat cuts (#1 nearly has a groove cut into it,) but there is a nice variety of tempos and style on this album. You won't be disappointed. Now, I need to see them in concert!!!

I've been waiting for a Band like this for 30 years
When was the last time you heard a Band that has Great Musicians, A Fantastic Singer, and sounds as good if not better, LIVE. I have tried to listen to this album sitting down, but after the first 30 seconds, I find myself dancing all around the room. THey look COOL, they play COOL, they Are COOL. I'm bummed they are not touring in the Philly area this summer.I'm 60 years old, with a very eclectic taste in music, it takes a lot for me to be impressed, having grown up during the 60's and being spoiled by all the Great Music of that area. Well, these guys have done it. I've bought 10 copies of this album so far, giving it out to friends and Family. THey have toured as the opening act for the Who, how COOL is that?

FINALLY! Real music with great lyrics
I am so tired of the top 40 drivel. Caught this band on a late night talk show and the lead singer knocked my socks off with his delivery. I saw glimpses of the 60's in their costume and felt tons of rock and soul in their performance. I felt like I was privy to something in the beginning stages of historical greatness. I hear they are going to be touring with The Who. I would love to see them live. My hubby immediately ordered this album from Amazon at the end of their TV performance. He is a huge music fan, from waaaay back and he knows a great band when he hears one. Watch these guys explode into fame and fortune. They give me hope for music again. Hallelujah!

Absolutly Brilliant
After seeing these guys on Jools Holland I bought their original album from their website as I could not wait to hear what else they had done, as I was sooo impressed on first hearing them. This is the same fab album but with the bonus disc with the 5 extra tracks (Ltd.Edt.double cd) all of which are really great - no fillers here! I have just seen them for the second time live & they are incredible - so much energy & enthusiasm - really brilliant musicians & an exceptional singer, so energetic, sexy, raw, hot, rockin', sweaty, bluesy, raunchy, thought provoking and so much FUN. They write all their own songs and are influenced by a lot of great musicians. Check out their website. Four of the nicest guys you could meet. Listen to the mp3 snippits on here (or see them on youtube) - buy this album - and if you possibly can, go see them - you will then be hooked :-) I'm sure you will not be dissapointed. I personally think they should win 'Best New Band' in the Classic Rock 2011 Roll of Honour, as they are so talented & hugely different to any other bands out there.

Blues At Its Best
Excellent stuff from the US band that did a storming set at 2015 Glastonbury. Their mix of blues/R&B hits the spot proving that there's still life in this venerable genre, especially if you have a great rhythm section in Richard Danielson and Rick Barrio Dill on drums and bass plus an outstanding lead guitarist in Nalle Colt and a lead singer in Ty Taylor who has been compared to James Brown at his best. Standout tracks for me are Nancy Lee and You Better Believe It but there isn't a dud on the album.

Vintage classic, no trouble!
Bluesy, soulful, bit of rock, this album is awesome! Opening track, Blues Hand Me Down, is a bombastic opener and the most uptempo track on the album... I would have bought the album just for that to be honest! However, if you're reading this, then you probably saw the Jools Holland set too and know the electricty they produced there. Somehow the album loses that feel a little at times, but the tracks are great nevertheless. Old school, bit dirty and raw... in a good way! Check out Youtube, listen and if you like the tracks buy the album. Don't expect an album full of Blues Hand Me Down clones though. Some tracks reach the bombast of that track, whilst others are mellower and more soulful blues. Good album!

Quality stuff.
This is a very good band with an excellent lead vocalist. See them live, they're worth it!The music on this album is solid and bluesy, mostly with a fine 'groove', and very cool soulful vocals. The emphasis throughout, to my ears, is on the vocals,....the mix/production pushing this strength to the fore.Guitar-work is well above average and guitar solos are few, being kept brief and tasteful; although they could have been more powerful so as not to melt into the overall sound. My only gripe is that there are no real 'standout' tracks,....most of the songs feeling a bit 'samey' after a while.Whilst listening to this, there are a few moments when I'm reminded of the soundtrack to "The Commitments" movie, many of the songs/tunes having a similar feel to those.Overall a great album,...just lacking that extra special something.

These are the best live band around ... and Ive been around
Buy the album (i got the downlaod after seeing them on Later). But go see them live they are a treat. I saw them in Carlisle with my son a couple of weeks ago, These guys are awesome. I'm in my late 50's and was touring and playing in bands long before these guys where even a twinkle in their daddies eyys. I've seen and heard many great bands over the years and I'd almost given up on hearing a band that could excite me as much live as say Cream or Taste. But thes can ... and then some.Trev

Great!
This band was recommended to me and I did see them on Jools Holland. They are Soul/Funk. Vintage Trouble are a little different to my usual music taste, but I really do like them. They are quite versatile in their approach and great music to work along to. The CD arrived on time and well packaged.

Good not great.
Like so many of the more acomplished groups this may be so much better live; very enjoyable and on constant play at the moment , but it just lacks that final spark to make it great.I've booked tickets for when they come to Osaka next April on the strength of this CD alone.

Great new band!
Vintage Trouble are a fantastic new band from LA. Their debut album is a great collection of songs which show off their R&B, blues, funk, soul and rock influences, which are all mixed into one brilliant sound. This album is full of great tracks which will stick in your head. Ty Taylor is a really good singer which sits well above the guitar, bass and drums. Both me (mid 40's) and my son (just 14) love this album and we are looking forward to whatever they produce next!

this cd makes me happy
I absolutely love love this cd. To be honest this is one of the best cd's I've listened to since Kings of Leon - Only By the Night. This band is going to be huge. I haven't heard a single song of theirs before I bought this cd ( strange I know, but I just happen to see them on tv for 15 seconds on some award show and they won best new band) . I immediately looked them up on you tube and I literally went on the customer reviews about how great they are and you can see their excitement and how this band makes them feel. I ordered their cd and lets just say I was more than pleasantly surprised. I love it when music makes you feel good. My new favourite band. Check them out. This band delivers something you don't hear on the radio and it's just CLASS!

Vintage Stuff !
Vintage Trouble... vintage stuff. Oh yes, music is alive and well. After witnessing them on Jools' show, like so many others, I knew I had to get hold of this album. I'm glad I did. I know I will be playing this loud in the car this summer and many more to come. My next task is to get to see them in concert as this will be the real Vintage experience. Also, to nj63 comment... have you checked inside the left hand flap for the second disc. I also had a 'minor moment' when I thought I hadn't received the double disc edition but, I think you may find it if you look hard :)
