Retractable Dog Leash - 16 Ft Dog Walking Leash for Medium Large Dogs Up to 110lbs - Heavy Duty & Tangle Free - Dog Waste Dispenser and Bags Included

My flexi-leash broke (tape came right out of the handle) so I needed to replace it. Flexi-leash would not stand behind their product (had to chase dog through the woods in the rain) so I opted to try a different vendor. There are 2 things that I don't like about it. I purchased the large leash as i have a pit mix and a golden retriever so wanted the 110 Lb one. However, the hook on the leash is too small. It's the same size hook as the small flexi-leash I have. I'm doubtful it will hold up. The second issue is the if you hold the lock down with your thumb it gives way and makes a crazy plastic scraping sound. Granted I could actually lock the leash but that's not what I'm trying to do. I only take my dogs out to do their business in our yard on the flexi-leash as they are dangerous to actually walk your dog with. But there are times when I just want to hold the lock down with my thumb to guide my dog to another area of the hard and it doesn't work well. As much as I hate to say it, the brand flexi-leash is better but I hate how they don't stand behind their product. You have to send them the leash and the receipt - which of course I never kept. So I just threw it away.

Update: I purchased this retractable dog leash in March 2019. I use it approximately 5 times a day. It works as perfectly as the day I purchased it. One time it would not retract completely, I pulled the leash out all the way, made sure it was not twisted and it retracted back in till the end. I use the stopper every day and my dog pulls on it to go further at least once a day, never any issues but that one time. This has been a great purchase!I bought this retractable dog leash approximately 6 months ago... Love it! No Issues. My dog likes to run ahead and the tension on the line when it is completely stretched out is no issue, retracts perfectly every time. The lock is great and has always worked, nice to have when other dogs or people are around. My dog doesn't have to step over a leash or get caught between his legs and he is happy for it. Like the added doggie bags... handy attached to the leash.

I have a 30 lb Schnauzer, and the leash works, unless it's cold weather. The grease or what ever this is lubed with becomes a real slug in the cold weather, and does not retract properly. I was hoping this would live up to the reputation for durability and function. It did not. Probably fine for warm weather climates but not where the temps get to 32 degrees or lower. The product is heavy in weight, which is okay if you're working one dog, and I find the way the unit is set up for it's leash feed port behind the weight of the pully assembly seems to make the leash feel out of balance and 'off'. Other than those issues, it appears to be well made and of good quality.

this leash is a little bulky for me. barely fits in any pockets so if I am planning to take her somewhere like the park where she will be off her leash i have to just hold it. it seems just ok but one unexpected feature is that when my dog hears the clicking of the retracting she knows that I am pulling her in close so the noise it makes actually helps signal my dog to stop. it could work more smoothly though the retraction is a little clunky.

This is a very standard retractable dog leash.. We had to rush order this one after one of our dogs charged on our last retractable leash, (different brand) but he completely shattered it like a cassette tape - however, so far this one has been upholding our two 80lbs+ German Shepherds well.I will say I personally do not like the fact that the lock feels like it malfunctions or grinds, if that makes sense? It’s not a simple click* when you lock it. You have to be sure there’s no tension at all when you attempt to lock it- our last one wasn’t like that.. but other than that, it’s a pretty strong leash, it’s a thin material, so I won’t be testing that to it’s entirety.

Overall pretty happy with this retractable leash. I needed a new bag dispenser so that was an added bonus (very basic, nothing special about it). Easy to lock but can be tricky to unlock, many times need 2 hands (thumbs) to do so, but doable. Been using about 2 weeks now, no fraying or breaking of any kind. Good product for the price.

I really liked this leash until it stopped retracting 4 months after buying it! Now, it's no longer available on Amazon and because it was sold by a 3rd party, I have to go to the manufacturer to have the year warranty validated. Trouble is, the company is in China - NOT! So, I'm stuck. Had to buy a new leash. Amazon wouldn't do anything about it until I spoke with a supervisor and asked for some credit for the new leash and I finally got $5 in a gift card!
