Good product.
I bought this splitter and 25', 50' and 75' cables, all to distribute a DTV signal all bought from this vendor (I think). The 25' and 75' cables I received are small wire/shielding.The 50' (maybe this vendor but now says ELMENOS) cable I received is a larger wire/shielding and much stiffer.I hooked everything up and immediately there was a problem with the 75' run. Wanting to know if it was the splitter or the cables I tried several combinations including taking the splitter out of the setup.DTVBox/splitter/75'/TV (my first combo) was really bad ghosting. Did not know if it was the splitter or cable.DTVBox/75'/TV- took the splitter out, no real improvement so I know the cable is a problem. The 75' cable will not even send an adequate signal direct from the box.DTVBox/splitter/25'/TV- just OK, not great, some degrade.DTVBox/splitter/50'/TV-very good screen.DTVBox/50'/splitter/50'/TV- still a decent screen and this with a total of 100' of run.So the 25' and 75' cables are going back. The 50' I will keep.I looked at the ads to try to determine if there is any way to know whether a purchase will provide thin or thick cables. I don't think so. The 25' and 75' pictures show thick video cables like the 50' I got while the 50' picture shows the thin crap I got with the 25' and 75'. The only description difference I could find was the 25' and 75' said "ultra flexible" which they were but the lack of shielding rendered them useless. The 50' said triple heavy duty super shielding. The only problem is another reviewer mentioned they got the 50'er with thin wiring. So it seems to be potluck. But this splitter is working great.

works great with the right cables,HDMI is better
I purchased this unit so I could run HD into other rooms in my house. after some time I started getting horizonal green and purple lines running up on my TV. I would unplug and replug the connectors on this unit and the lines would go away for abit then return. I blamed this unit and posted a ad on this sitewith my disapointment and started looking for a better unit. Turned out It was not this box and the problem was using cheap Cables. everytime Idisconected and reconnected them, they would start working. I since have removed my Ad from this site and resubmited this one.If you use this switcher,BUY GREAT CABLES.I ended up buying a HDMI switcher and switched out all my component cables to HDMI. no more signal loss and a great picture.if you can,Go HDMI and skip this route.

stellar performance; $1000-plus might get something better (?!)
This amp is even better than the s-video model I purchased 6 years ago. Has very little effect on the source signal, though you might want to ensure that you keep this warmish-running unit in a ventilated area (please. NEVER put a precision amp like this in a smothering corner. If necessary, get a small cooling fan. It will last years longer). In calibrating its output into both of my tv's I noted a slight depression in very, very dark (near zero IRE) blue. Easily solved, but if your tv has RGB controls you might want to shove dark blue upward a mere notch to avoid greenish blacks. Very even color transmission, no loss of contrast or resolution, very little noise if any. A far cry from the second-rate results I've seen with similar products at or near this price. I do have a $750 unit with slightly (I said slightly) better performance, but my tv and two DVD recorders shows this unit is first-rate. Test screens on associated equipment show that the amplified image and audio are not overloading my components. Apparently each output amplifies the input just enough to avoid signal loss (i.e, intelligently designed unity gain). What goes in is what comes out, not over-powered. You often see a lot of visible brightness pumping with this sort of amp, but not here. Another good design from CE Labs.

Only got B/W output
Expensive for what its worth. Did part of the job, couldn't get the output to come in color on those screens regardless of what cables or units I used. Wouldn't purchase again.

Works invisibly
I had a 35 run Cables To Go 40457 Velocity Component Video Cable (35 Feet, Blue) and Cables To Go 40470 Velocity RCA Audio Cable (35 Feet, Blue) between my living room TV and the cable box. I rerouted that line to the amplifier and then ran a 15 foot line Mediabridge Ultra Series - Component Video Cable with Audio - Gold Plated Pro Grade RCA Connectors - 15ft to that TV and a 12 foot line Mediabridge Ultra Series - Component Video Cable with Audio - Gold Plated Pro Grade RCA Connectors - 12ft to the kitchen TV. I can see no difference in video or audio quality from before or after ( although the kitchen set now looks much better than with the coax feed). What more can I ask after one week of use? Time will tell.

One cable box and 4 TVs with clear signals
Its tempting to use the little passive RCA splitters and depending on cable length (and using mixed cable lengths for each TV) you might get away with this but I have a cable box in a basement rack and 4 component baluns sending HDTV throughout the house and there is no getting around the need for a product like this. This is powered and does not have any of the ghosting issues you probably have if you have used the little 2-1 splitters.Does exactly what it says, comes with everything you need - really power adapter only (except cables of course) and has been working issue free for me for 2 years now. I even bought a second unit to split a second box to different areas of the house.

Excellent piece of equipment
I have four flat-panel TVs in my garage/shop. All get their signal from one high-def satellite box. The signal strength diminishes in this application with each additional TV. The function of this device is to keep the signal strength to each TV at normal strength. It works great, runs cool, and installation is very easy. Most installers will split two or three TVs off of one box. I did this, and thought I had good picture quality. But when the acqusitiion of a fourth TV required the powered splitter, I was amazed at how much the picture quality improved for all the TVS. Excellent product!!

This give crisp clear image and sound.
Splitting a a component signal to see a jib camera at the base control and then sending off to a broadcast unit. Great tool we can depend on with our students creating video for our YouTube channel and School sport broadcasts.
