Kristofferson.. Who is he?
Terrible film, saved by Ms Streisands vocals. Never liked Kristofferson, poor vocals, but I can see NOW why they used him, going off his body, at the time, he would have been considrred a HUNK, if you can ignore him, this film is not that bad, Streisand has done a lot better: The Way we Were.. It gets 4 stars for her vocals and the song Evergreen

The best!
I loved this film when I first saw it at the cinema,and wanted the DVD to keep. It arrived a day early, so I could watch it this weekend (thank you Amazon)! Absolutely adore Kris Kristofferson - always have. Streisand is good too!

Well acted, bit dated,(maybe cause l ain't fan of 2 stars music) Streisand as a beautiful voice though. Male lead aswell. Sad story,he was mega superstar falls foul to drink and drugs, meets a brilliant singer on the way up(why his career spiralling down) , lady ga ga,s version more my type.

A typical 70s style love story of two music icons .I much prefer this version
I actually prefer this version to the recent one . It may not have all the glitz and glam but it has Barbra Streisand and the brilliant Kris Kristofferson . Its a definate Rock n Roll story set in the 70s . The characters are believable and as Im older now it is definately as things were back then . I am so pleased I found it . Its treasured xx

You don’t always need to buy new with music magpie
This was still in its original wrapper and had never been opened. Got for a friend and I to watch as we loved the lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper version. I’d already seen this one years ago and love it. Know my friend will too

Damaged and unplayable
This item was a Christmas gift for my wife (1 of 3 A Star is Born versions) and therefore not opened until 25 December and first played on 1 January. Although it started and played normally at 1 hr 7 minutes through to 1 hr 20 mins the DVD is corrupt and not viewable. This was particularly disappointing and a waste of money. Regrettably as I pre-planned and ordered this early the 'return date' has expired. Another annoyance. Far from happy!
