This unit is so easy to use and accurate that it takes a lot of guesswork out of woodworking as well as other projects. The response time is really fast and I read with some other similar products that this can be a problem. This is definitely not a problem with this product. I push a button and in a second or two it is doing what it is supposed to do. No lag. For the most part it is self-explanatory but it does come with detailed instructions that make it even easier if you need those. I wouldn’t even keep scrolling. If you’re in the market for a product that will make your woodworking or around the house jobs like hanging pictures easier, just buy this one. The price is as good or better versus comparable products and the performance is second to none. I haven’t had to use their customer service because I haven’t had any issues but it was clear when I made my purchase that if I do need anything, they will have me covered.

After having tried four different angle meters I liked this one the best...First the magnet is very strong, contrary to what some say...I tried holding it up with a 1/8" diameter screwdriver and it held...I even slid the screwdriver out so that only 3/4" was contacting the magnet and it still held with the gauge under the screwdriver...That's plenty good for me...Second, it works on round objects just fine since the magnet is so strong...Some might prefer the v-type bottom, but the v-type has less surface contact area on flat surfaces, which could result in less accuracy as more surface contact area always means more inherent accuracy...Third, I like the fact it reads in reverse angles when upside down...(IE) It reads 30 degrees with magnet down, will read 150 degrees (180-30) with magnet on top...Different from most but useful in some circumstances...Fourth, the light is plenty bright and easy enough so see in daylight..Fifth, it has a hold button which can be useful when the gauge can't be read in current position...Sixth, of course it has absolute and relative zero functions like most others...The only might be negative is that it uses only one AAA battery where most use two...Maybe this unit is more energy efficient, I don't know...Not a deal breaker for me since I won't be using hours on end.Overall, the winner for me...

Easy to read and pretty simple to use once you play around with it for a few minutes. The instructions could be clearer but once you got it figured out you will be all set.Could use a small delay between when you press the zero button to when the unit zero's itself to account for movement in your hands. Maybe just a quick countdown would be good.Unit has a strong magnet and is accurate enough to help me align the blade on an old table saw to 90°.Pretty happy with the purchase so far.

You will eventually be sorry if you buy one of the lower quality units that all look the same on Amazon! Some might sell for a few dollars less but the quality is much lower. The unit from TickTockTools is definitely built better without question. It has an aluminum alloy frame and the plastic parts are much stronger. With the other units, it feels like you can stick your finger right into the display! This one is heavier and you can tell right away that it is built stronger.As far as accuracy, this unit is as good or better than any other unit I've seen. The numbers don't jump around. It adjusts from one surface to the next very quickly. The magnets are very strong and will not slide or let go of metal surfaces. Your results are highly reproducible. It has so many uses and the hold button is a pretty cool additional feature. Overall very easy to use this tool.Bottom line is that you won't be disappointed if you get this one. There are other good products out there but there are also a lot of not so good products out there. This is a great value at under 30 bucks!

My miters have gotten tighter, my angles are definitely more precise. As my eyes have gotten older and worse, it's difficult to see the tick marks on my old angle finder and tape measure.It's a good size display. Easy to use with the bright backlight. With the magnetic base, I can just let it stick to the side of my steel table saw stand. It's always right there when I need it. It comes with a case, but I don't use it.Place it on the tablesaw top, zero the angle finder, then snap it to the side of the blade and adjust to the desired angle. SIMPLE and EASY.It's such a good product and I'm glad to support a smaller company like Tick Tock Tools.

I wasn’t really a big fan of digital tools or the idea of digital tools thinking that the good old traditional tools were the way to go to get the job done right. Now I can’t speak for all digital products and I can’t say I’m ready to go all digital, but I can say that this is a great little product that went above and beyond my expectations. I’m glad I decided to take a chance on it and I’m definitely open to checking out newer technology going forward – even for my toolbox! This angle finder is very accurate, easy to use, easy to transport, and ready to go right out of the box. It’s already calibrated and says you don’t need to recalibrate it unless you seriously knock it around. I have yet to run into that issue but based on the instructions, it would be easy to calibrate it again if needed.
