We bought an outdoor cat house for a stray young cat who only went in it to eat and still preferred to sleep outside. After 2 weeks we bought this blanket and cat is now happily sleeping inside her house, success! The blanket is thinner than expected but it definitely heats up with own body heat because I rested my feet in it and felt nice and toasty in a few minutes. It’s very soft and comforting and we folded it in half for extra depth. I bought 2 to give one to my son but am ordering another to alternate between washes (not washed yet so can’t comment on that) Very very happy with this product so far.

My senior 12yr old cat took to this bed straight away! She loves it and always feels warm and toasty regardless of the temperature. It works! I was going to invest in a heated pet bed but decided to give this a go first and I'm so glad I did as the price is more reasonable and the running costs are zero.

Bought for one cat but both now use one not happy as the new cat also likes it. Product actually better than expected.

My outdoor cat took to the mat straight away when I put it out in his wee house. Once I gave it a wash he wasn't so keen, now one of my indoor cats uses it, they feel really warm when they lay on it, so I guess it works really well.

Our cat loves this pad,as soon as she get's on it she falls asleep.Could have done with being a little tbit hicker for more comfort but overall very good.I've washed it once and it dries out fine and retains it's shape,definitely a good buy.

I’ve been considering getting one of these for a while now, what with the cost of heating going up, but not wanting our newly rescued 14yo ‘Senior-Kitizen’ cat be cold as we don’t have the heating on as much as we’d love to, and he won’t always sleep on a blanket and can be a bit fussy.I was unsure if he’d like it as it had a new smell, so I laid it on his favourite spot on the sofa, rubbed my hands on it, stroked him a few times and then rubbed the mat. I also gave him a few of his favourite treats on the mat to encourage him to use it. He wasn’t sure at first, would gladly get on it for the treats, but then would sit right next to it.He obviously wasn’t aware that it was a self heating mat, so I had the idea of using one of my heat pads on low underneath it just so he realises it’s a nice warm place to sleep/loaf. It worked a treat. In 24hrs it’s become his favourite mat to sleep on without the use of the electric heat pad. He’s now associated the mat with being warm, and because it’s self heating he just automatically lays on it. I move it from the places he likes to sleep Ie. The sofa, the bed, so he feels the benefit wherever he sleeps. It’s lovely and soft, and a good size for him as he is a rather large cat (not fat, just large).I will say if your cat has very sharp claws they might sometimes get stuck in the furry top, as a couple of times his did, but other than that I can’t recommend this mat enough. Just wish they made one adult size.
