The reason it got 4 stars is the lack of installation instructions. It was lucky that I knew now to install because I had previously had to dismantle my Dyson V8.

This battery only lasted 3days and then went faulty. Difficult to get a courier to deliver it back because it’s a battery. Got my money beck from Amazon.

This is a fake item. 24hr charge and immediately showing the error lights. Tried to use vacuum but cut out immediately, put back on charge and acting like it’s out of charge. Had the hassle of getting a certain carrier who will take defective lithium batteries to return it. Amazon staff were amazing in helping me get this sorted.

This battery was easy to install and improved the battery life of the vacuum whilst it worked.However, it has failed after 5 months, overheating and setting off the flashing red warning light on my Dyson V8.I reported this to the retailer who immediately replaced like for like - no questions asked.Great customer service

I bought this Battery for my Dyson V8. It faulted the charger on first power up. I reset it and worked intermittently. Most of the time it charged. Now after 1 month it keeps failing to charge just faults the charger. Red light flashing all the time

Not worth buying, waist of time and money. Has never worked properly, since first use didint hold charge. I got genuine battery direct form Dayson for £70 and work perfect now.
