The sample made in chapter 2 fits my nephew to a T. I've been trying to help my sister out with him but to no avail. After reading this book, we now understand that the way he's been studying just does not work for him. We found that he's a tactile learner. So far, the new way of studying by writing thing down over just repeating aloud or just plain reading seems to suit him and the last exam he came home with a C, a bit higher than his previous C-s.Now we are working with him on his study plan, its a work in progress.

The Study Planner For Success is good guide to help you fine tune your studying technique. The book is laid out in six chapters; chapters 1 and 2 discusses the core foundations for learning and knowing your learning styles. Chapters 3 and 4 discusses study plan and effective study strategies, while chapters 5 and 6 are focused on memorizing techniques and exam strategies. I found The Barsch Learning Style Inventory test very useful. It allows students to assess what is their learning style which helps them develop a studying habit and style more efficiently. Also learned very useful memorization techniques including Loci Method.

Bought this book for my son but I also enjoyed it. Because I'm planning to finish my degree, I'm sure I'll be able to use what I've learned from it. In this book are different learning styles that you can do to achieve better results. The Study Planner for Success includes a test to determine your hemispheric preference which you can use to make a study plan that suits your needs. It will be really helpful especially to college students and board takers to learn these techniques and apply them.

Not really any ideas that were new or couldn't be found online. Overpriced for the content.
