About the Author Kate Hershberger was born in a small town just outside South Bend, IN. Growing up in small town North Carolina, she spent most of her childhood daydreaming and making up stories. In high school she took a creative writing class and found that she had a real talent for putting her stories on paper. The initial idea of her first novel, Crutches, came to light her senior year of high school. Though the idea was put on the back burner for several years, it finally came back into focus in 2012 when she decided it was time to finish telling the Megan, Alice, and Ellie's story. Read more

Crutches by Kate Hershberger
Great book! It had me from start to finish. I love a good murder mystery and this had everything I want in a book, easy read, great story line! It had me not wanting to put it down!! I can't wait for the author to release her next book. I will be sure to purchase anything she writes.

Great First Book
An enjoyable read. I couldn't put it down. I hope this is the first of many books from Kate Hershberger.

Top Notch!
This book is an excellent read! It has everything you would want in a book to keep you coming back wanting to finish it. Suspenseful action, heart wrenching drama, so many twists that it keeps you guessing, and so much more. I usually get bored with some books and never return to them to finish them, but I found myself wanting to continue reading this one! If you like a murder mystery type novel, or even a book that you just want to be able to relate to a character, then I highly recommend this book. It was an easy purchase for me and I am well pleased with the outcome I received from it.
