Dream Salts Edison Light Bulb Made From Pure Himalayan Salt/Hand Carved/Natural Amber Glow Night Light/15W E26 Base (Natural)

After I read a ton of horrifying reviews about salt lamp dimmer switches melting, smoking and trying to set things on fire I was relieved to find an alternative. This is simply a night-light type bulb with a standard American sized lamp socket surrounded by a jacket of Himalayan salt. That's it. By eliminating everything but the salt and the light bulb I'm able to select the power source and eliminate some risk. Salt in this form isn't generally flammable and is stable at high temperatures. Having it in direct contact with the light bulb itself shouldn't be a worry unless we somehow get a little moisture in there, which is unlikely and easy to spot since the salt simply slips right off the bulb for inspection. I wouldn't suggest using this configuration for an overhead or downward light fixture since the salt is quite heavy for its size and could unexpectedly succumb to gravity.My daughter was enchanted by the quality of light this bulb issues and I expect I'll be ordering another presently. This would make a practical, charming and thoughtful gift.

Love the beautiful rose glow. I use it in a bedside lamp. Only downside is that the salt particulates break off without touching the bulb, leaving salt crystals on my dresser. No big deal. Sexy light. Good as nightlight with warm glow. Would buy again for sure.

These are gorgeous, BUT. they slip right off within minutes. I wish it weren’t the case. I put one in my antique, Japanese karakusa lamp that is missing it’s original rice paper surround. Regular bulbs are way to bright for me. Bright lights activate my migraines. I was so pleased to receive this. Maybe J can rig something to hold it on better. Just don’t wanna burn down the house.

I truly enjoy Himalayan lights and these provide a very nice soothing glow.However, If you are looking for something really bright, this is not for you. It is a very subtle pleasant glow that the provide. If you are looking for something to light up a room, this is not it.

Beautiful character piece. I like the aura of heated pink salt lamps & now w/ these bulbs, my reading room is glowing with calm healing vibes. I just wish there was a way to safely use these as handling bulbs, they’d be beautiful as a hanging line up of salt bulbs in the dining room.

Have been using this bulb for a couple weeks now. I turn it on every day in the evening. It provides a nice soft, slightly orange hue.

I like the color that rock salt bulbs throw - I own several. These are too thick compared to the power of the bulb. Shows as just a dull hot red. Might be better for a hanging light.

I replaced the bulbs on my ceiling fan in the living room with these salt light bulbs. They gave a warm mesmerizing glow on the ceiling. I absolutely love it. Going to buy more.
